Horrible bubble tea. As an Asian who has drunk many bubble teas, this is one of the worst. I ordered the classic milk tea with 50% sweetness. It has no tea flavour, very watered down and extremely sweet. The boba was ok. I had bubble tea from Feng Cha Teahouse the other day it was so much better.

A tiny Boba Guys tucked away in a corner of the Union Square area. I haven’t had boba guys in while, and during my visit yesterday, I tried a heated boba drink for the first time. While the hot black milk tea with boba wasn’t my favorite, and I’ve tasted better, it was good. The tea flavor was strong, the milk was sweet, and the pearl melted to a soft chewiness, however it was hard to mix the drink well with the cup provided. My thoughts have been mostly positive thus far, but what makes me lean toward a 3 rating is the price and portion. My drink ended up costing about 7 dollars for a 16 oz cup, which is actually really bad when you compare it to what other boba shops offer. That is a small cup. Even Sharetea, which is stupidly expensive, at least has a bigger regular size. I probably would not come again with the other options I have. Overall, Boba Guys makes decent quality drinks, but it is not the place to go you’re looking for bang for your buck on boba. 3/5.

I work nearby and going to have a hard time not coming hear regularly. Quick service and delicious drink. Have never heard of Korean banana milk but was open to trying, glad I did!

Most of the menu can be made vegan, and you can adjust the sweetness for most of the drinks as well. I got the berry hibiscus fruit tea and it was a little too sweet for my taste but still really good! Straw is compostable.

Consistently extremely watered down boba tea. I ordered 50% sugar. Can’t taste the milk or tea, mostly just sugar taste. Ordered 25% of sugar, tasted likely water. I’ve given the store several chance as I like their boba texture and the store is famous, but nope, the drink was a disappointment.

My favorite boba place in SF, been to this store 5+ years. The drinks here are consistently great. The lines can get long, which happens a lot, but I honestly don't mind the wait. My go-to favorites are the strawberry matcha latte and the classic milk tea with boba. You'll notice the service changes a bit since they have a ton of different part-timers, but the taste of the drinks is always solid. Totally recommend it!

Solid milk tea as always, but maybe not my favorite Boba Guys location, as there's no seating and not much ambiance at this location. Still love how convenient they are to Union Square.

You open at 11, but your boba isn’t ready till 12. It’s literally the name of your store. Make that make sense 🧐

It is tasteless. As someone who live in thailand for a year, I have tried many type of bubble milk tea. I like the bubble tea for under $1 at food court in bangkok. It was the best.
This thing, it has so many water, it has less flavor. If you choose 100%, it is too sweet so even if you wanna try, try 75/50%. Anyway, the quality doesn’t meet my expectations.

I have been here many times in the past, usually when I am in the area or if I am craving for some boba. Most of the times there is a line, since they are well known and not many boba shops are in the area. They offer many unique drinks to choose from, everything is made to order which is a plus for me and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. The staffs here are welcoming, well trained and polite where each of my visits were easy going and I had never encountered any issues. I highly recommend this place to all boba enthusiasts, if you are looking to try something new of if you just need a refresher. I definitely will be back to tryout the other uniquely delicious drinks they have to offer.

Real review by an Asian guy.

If you have drunk real bubble tea, I do not want to recommend their bubble tea. I have drunk bubble tea from Thailand, Taiwan and Singapore. It is nothing like those from Asian countries. Plus, it is much pricier. 7 dollars for a bubble tea? It is insane. I doubt they even put milk in it.

If you are just going to ignore my comment and want to try no matter what, I recommend you go with 50% or 75% sweetness.
