A tiny Boba Guys tucked away in a corner of the Union Square area. I haven’t had boba guys in while, and during my visit yesterday, I tried a heated boba drink for the first time. While the hot black milk tea with boba wasn’t my favorite, and I’ve tasted better, it was good. The tea flavor was strong, the milk was sweet, and the pearl melted to a soft chewiness, however it was hard to mix the drink well with the cup provided. Most of the menu can be made vegan, and you can adjust the sweetness for most of the drinks as well. I got the berry hibiscus fruit tea and it was a little too sweet for my taste but still really good! Straw is compostable.
My favorite boba place in SF, been to this store 5+ years. The drinks here are consistently great. The lines can get long, which happens a lot, but I honestly don't mind the wait. My go-to favorites are the strawberry matcha latte and the classic milk tea with boba. You'll notice the service changes a bit since they have a ton of different part-timers, but the taste of the drinks is always solid. Totally recommend it!
