This store is one of my go 2 places for boba and one of the best boba guys stores out there in the bay area. Parking is fairly rough however with only a few spaces and double park spaces. I usually walk here with friends as it’s super accessible and close to public transport. Drinks though are hella good. The boba is always chewy and their matcha is the highest grade matcha. I am going to be back trying more of their drinks. So far I’ve tried all of their matchas and the hojicha and it’s a 5/5. They do also have the peppermint matcha going on right now and my friends say it’s superb. The bad things though is that they don’t have actual food and they only have snacks. Kinda expected though because it’s a boba shop and they focus on making quality tea and boba. The vibe is really cool for studying and spending long hours.

Revisited Boba Guys in Hayes Valley and here's my take on the boba shop:- Love the atmosphere here. Tall building with many windows for natural light. Staff has decorated the windows with cute plants and holiday themes.- Many seating options for individual and group studies, bar-style countertops, and even backyard patio sofa.- Restroom is clean and spacious. Parking is a bit tough around here but theres often times 1 or 2 spots of parking right in front.- Got the Strawberry Matcha Latte with oat milk, still tastes amazing like 3 years ago.- Tried the new Hojicha Banana, has some nice toasty notes but I still prefer the sweet Korean Banana Milk.Overall nice experience!

I visited Boba Guys for the first time yesterday and was thrown back a bit at how good it was. I had Hojicha Banana Milk, Mike’s Hot Honey Coffee Cloud, and a Pandan Caramel Latte. Today a cold brew and a Sesame Latte.I appreciate the non-dairy options and flavor choices.Drinks were all delicious! The staff were so nice and friendly! (sorry I didn’t catch your names)

Tasty drinks like the other locations, but compared to others they give significantly less boba. The best location for this detail is the Potrero hill boba guys.

It's a really cute location! I wanted to try something new and decided to try their seasonal coffee chai cloud. The drink was aesthetically beautiful and creamy, however the flavors seemed a bit off. It had a tang? possibly from the cold brew? but the flavors just weren't combining well :/ It wasn't unpleasant but will opt for a diff drink next time.My friend got the classic black milk tea with boba and also found his drink to be watery. Again, not a terrible drink but not the best bubble tea. Definitely a great spot to hangout with friends with a few tables for working or catching up!

Love the horchata from here. If you show up within the first 30 minutes of the store opening, they don’t have any boba.

Boba Guys used to be the best, but gone downhill a bit. Every location just seems like a product factory, without actual service or atmosphere anymore. They're definitely operating just off their reputation now. I think the owners have moved on to bigger/better things. This location is a bit difficult to access, so I'm not sure why it exists. Nonetheless, I stopped by recently to grab a drink and it wasn't as good as I recall. For every rise of an empire, there is a fall. I won't be back.

3 year later update. This review is directly intended for how poorly management has been handling their chain. Since my last review - they have discontinued neighborhood discount and have since raised prices instead. INDEED, I am in agreement with paying for the cost of living increase but this level of disappointment from false advertising is ridiculous. I had a coworker during lunch buy drinks for BUY ONE GET ONE 50% off or something - some sweet BOGO deal she came back to tell us about. Supposedly the sale was in ALL of September. I was shocked because I had went for a lunch break in the first week of this month and was not given any idea or inkling of this BOGO sale and I was with other people. SO NO BOGO for me then. (disappointed face) - Anyway, I put that annoyance aside and since my other coworkers and I were all full from lunch we decided to go for the drink during our afternoon break. We got there at 3pm and asked about the BOGO deal and the person at the register was unaware of the BOGO offer giving me a confused face and looked to his side to another employee who then said to us "Oh. It ends at 2pm. Sorry." What the heck. There wasn't even a sign in their store of this promotion or its terms or conditions. Nothing found on their website because we checked before hiking to their store for the afternoon break.Only to find out this was an advertised post only found on INSTAGRAM. Nothing on their website - no signs in their store and not even all the employees know about it!? How is that even possible that not even their own employee knew about it? Shame on management for ASSUMING everyone has an instagram or follows them to know about this promotion - not putting up signs - offering it to customers during lunch. However, not giving a full guideline of the terms. At the end of it all - not giving proper notice to their employees of such promotions. I have been coming to this specific location of Boba Guys for more than 5 years and the insult to injury with the prices - losing neighborhood discount - degradation of quality of service, and now this?! Promoting a sale that isn't even really being promoted or highlighted properly in their own store - to a degree that the employees of the same store are unaware of the ongoing promotion. Service started to go down because management treated their staff poorly - quality is starting to suffer and prices are going up and false advertising is being spread and they're just okay with that? Do better Boba Guys - ya'll used to be the epitome of the best boba in town and now it's become something else. I mean that as - NOT in a positive way.
