The food was awesome. Try the sizzling platter and the bone-in Filet. One of my favorite restaurants. $400 for two ppl though. Try there version of the lemon drop.

Do yourself a favor and go. Aside from the steak and crab, my wife and I recommend the Mac and cheese, the garlic noodles, and the mashed potatoes.

Our server was very engaging, personable and provided prompt service in all areas. The food and cocktails were amazing as they always are! Host could have been warmer both on the phone and in person.

Husband and I had dinner here, was seated according reservation, very polite and professional staff. food was delicious, husband had petite Filet Mignon, I ordered the special Bone in filet. Both were juicy and full of flavor. It was cooked according to preference, we both loved it. had some sides, creamy spinach and portabella mushrooms, perfect. with the steaks, enjoyed the garlic fries and bread with old fashions to start. We ended with dessert and coffee. would highly recommend for birthday, date night, or just because you want to enjoy a amazing steak. We ate here for the first time when it opened way back in early 2000's and it hasn't disappointed us at all. very consistent to who they are and what they serve. luv it!

Ordered a medium rare Ribeye and fat had not rendered. Not even close. Had to spit out chewy, uncooked fat the entire meal. So gross.

I requested a private booth with curtains for 2. When we arrived, the hosted seemed surprised that I had the request and said that she had to contact the Travel Lodge to use the elevator to get to the floor. It sounded like it was going to be an ordeal so I said never mind, we would sit at a regular booth. Clearly they didn't see my request or simply ignored it. The place smelled musty and old. There absolutely were no food smells that I would think you would smell in a restaurant serving up steaks and seafood. I was disappointed in the food. It was underwhelming. They sat a group of 7 people right next to us and their loudness took away from our trying to enjoy my friend's birthday. Not to mention that the group was talking about one of their “Black” Employee negatively while glancing at us to see if we were listening! Really white people? The service of our waiters were very good. They did give my friend a sweet treat for her birthday which was thoughtful. Overall I was disappointed and don't see myself returning to Bobo's. It was not worth the money or having to endure the rudeness of the group seated next to us.

Excellent food and service as always ! Ambiance was very relaxed and enjoyable. The staff is professional and knowledgeable, I appreciate the recommendations and enjoyed the drinks. It's always difficult to choose what to eat everything is amazing. Definitely a place to visit for good food.

When we arrived for our 9:15 reservation, we felt rushed to order even before we met our server. We had to ask twice for our drinks, and they still came to us wrong. Despite this, the atmosphere and food were great. We're excited to return and hope for better service next time.

TLDR; food/drinks were mediocre at best. Steak was off, espresso martini may have been water down coffee with a splash of vodka. They tried charging us for something we didn't order, Edgar was a great server. I had such high hopes going into dinner. We had been looking at steak houses for a couple of weeks in San Francisco for a staycation to celebrate our anniversary. Finally settled on going to bobo's to try our first tomahawk, we were SO excited. Just to make sure it was available, I called about an hour before our reservation to check. The hostess on the phone scoffed, " Is that all you want to call for?". I was a little taken aback but was still excited. We got seated at a private booth and were greeted by Edgar. Honestly Edgar was the best part of our night, he was attentive, checked in with us often and kept our drinks filled. We ordered two espresso martinis, the Tomahawk, brussel sprouts, bread and garlic fries. The food and drinks were mediocre at best. The espresso martini was not frothy whatsoever and tasted like it was made with coffee instead of espresso. The brussel sprouts felt steamed with crispy bacon bits and the fries were standard. The bread itself was pretty good, but the toppings would just keep falling off the bread making it difficult to eat. The star of the show, the tomahawk came out separately. Edgar set it down in front of us, we wowed and he began slicing it. Silence fell on all of us as we noticed the medium rare steak we order was extremely blue. No one said anything initially, he left as my boyfriend and I awkwardly discussed if we should say something. I got up from our table, tapped Edgar on the shoulder and before I could say anything he knew the steak was too rare. He took it back to the kitchen to be refired. The steak came back, some pieces now overcooked and some still blue. We ate the whole steak as this was what we were really looking forward to and it just tasted a little off. We couldn't put our finger on if the steak tasted a little gamey from never having had this cut or if the meat was a little sour. They cleared our plates and asked if we would like dessert. We declined and they almost immediately put down two complimentary limoncello drinks in front of us and two cones with fudge for our anniversary. While we were thankful for the free limoncello, it was extremely thick and strong. Definitely washed out the sour taste of the tomahawks. Edgar put down the bill in front of us, I asked if we could be compensated any amount as we were unsatisfied with the food. He understood and came back letting us know our sides would be compensated but couldn't do more than that. Absolutely no worries, we completely understood. We're looking over the bill and noticed they were going to charge us for the anniversary cones! AFTER we had declined dessert. We were in actual disbelief. Needless to say, Edgar really carried the experience for us but unfortunately we will NOT be coming back.

I'm giving restaurant 2 stars tonight. I have been here a great deal and had a great experience. However tonight, I was there celebrating a friend's birthday. It was her first time at Bo Bo's. The service started off great but towards the middle & end. I noticed waiter was being snappy with me. I ordered the iron skillet mussels, shrimp and crab. So the crab was skimpy & dryed out and no flavor. The sauce that they pour didn't help. My friends liked their food, they had surf&turf with brussel spouts, Salmon & Ceaser Salad. They enjoyed their food. We ordered bread and it never came. I was really disappointed with my food & service. I have been here several times and usually the food is good and on point. The music was great like always.

I haven't been to Bobo's since before Covid so I wanted to go back and make sure it was still as great as I always remembered. They didn't let me down! We got there early and were seated right away without reservations. It is definitely old school San Francisco vibes in here with like a circus theme. The service was great. We ordered the shrimp appetizer and drinks to start. My martini was nice and cold. Shrimp was pretty good. We brought our own wine a nice Bordeaux to pair with dinner. For dinner we ordered the bone in rib eye with garlic mashed potatoes and cream spinach. All the food was phenomenal. Will definitely be back again soon!

Never heard of this place until I happened to come upon it by a delivery app and thought I would try it out while at the hospital. My dad was getting sick of hospital food and so, naturally who wouldn't be craving filet mignon? I don't generally care for filet mignon. And it just happened to be one of the most stormy wet rains we've had in a long time (buckets of rain!) and I started to have regrets that I may risk my safety driving in the heavy rain just for a $45 6oz piece of meat that didn't even come w any sides...until...I had a taste of this mighty piece of goodness! It was the most expensive piece of meat I've had. But, boy was it worth its value! It was absolutely phenomenal but it's not just because we only had an entire week of hospital/cafeteria food to compare it to. It was the best piece of filet mignon I have ever had in my life, in fact the best steak I've ever had. All I had was a hospital butter knife to cut thru this beauty but it was like cutting thru butter! It was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. I was surprised that the portion for a 6oz was larger than I expected and decent enough to share with my dad if you add sides. Some tips: 1. Be careful of leakage of the sauce. Unfortunately, I didn't secure the container back correctly after taking a pic and the sauce leaked thru the bag and I nearly lost the goods thru the bag that ripped thru the rain and sauce drenched bag. 2. Ask for extra sauce. Fortunately, I asked for extra steak sauce upon pick up and still got to add that to the filet. It's a delicious sauce that tastes like some kind of ginger blend (reminds me a little of the Benihana ginger sauce). Otherwise the filet is fairly tasteless. 3. Beware of the temperature you ask for. Medium is more like medium rare and was pretty bloody, though it did make the meat more tender. They have a very small and kind of tight parking lot. Helpful so that you don't have to find street parking. Has a bit of an aged red flare to the restaurant. I guess it's a good sign that they have been around for a long time. I would DEFINITELY try this place again. In fact, it was so good, I've been trying to reimagine the experience in my mouth even a week after enjoying my filet! Our only regret is that my mom wasn't able to try out the food with us. My dad and I keep telling my mom just how good it is and how she needs to try it herself. So of course, we will be back!
