I tried to place a large company order that included several vegan donuts. I called the store to ask which ones were vegan since the website doesn’t show that information. The woman who answered said it “should say online” — but it doesn’t.

When I politely asked if she could just tell me which ones were vegan (since she confirmed she was in the store), she told me I’d have to come in person to place an order — and then hung up on me.

That’s unbelievable customer service. I was literally trying to give them business, and they couldn’t be bothered to answer a simple question. Definitely not the kind of attitude you expect from a local SF shop.

Bob’s Donuts is as classic as it gets — no frills, no gimmicks, just really good, old-school donuts done right. The glazed and chocolate are spot-on, perfectly fresh with that just-right chew that keeps you coming back. It’s the kind of place that feels timeless — simple, reliable, and delicious — and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates a true neighborhood bakery vibe. Sometimes the basics really are the best.

Placed a DoorDash order and they never accepted/confirmed it. I walked down there to see two staff members chilling behind the counter. I placed my order and left.

I got home and they some how got a very clearly explained order wrong.

Donuts were mediocre at best.

Great service and donuts and they're open 24/7! We stopped by after dinner and even though it was late, the donuts tasted fresh and warm. We got a chocolate glazed and donut holes which were very good. Their donuts tend to be a bit more dense at least for me since I like light and fluffy donuts but still very good.

I’ve heard a lot of good about this place but it didn’t fully live up to my expectations. The donuts were good and fluffy but not amazing. I tried the sugary and chocolate one. Price is very affordable though 👍

Bob’s Donut is a staple in the artisanal donut shop world. It’s a must go. The old venue is about to close (October 2026) but the new venue across the street is much nicer.

I DoorDash donuts from here it's so good my only complaint is that you can't choose which donut you want. I order a half dozen donuts. The donuts are good but i prefer maple donuts over chocolate. And the box had 3 chocolate ones.
