Had the birria quesadilla and the queso and the Caesar salad and all were underwhelming. The plantains and the pico de gallo are great. The beef quesadilla would be better if it were served hot instead of lukewarm like I got today. Edit: had the chicken empanadas and same comment as the beef, this time they cut them into pieces and it was not hot. I won’t order the churros again, too much sugar and the chocolate sauce was lacking.

So glad I stumbled on this place. It was late and they still treated us right. Jorge the bartender was fantastic. Did the ceviche sampler. Aji de gallina was amazing. Don't skip this spot

El Dorado is an absolute gem! I stopped by after work and tried the Pollo Causa and Lomo Saltado, hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. It’s tough to find those dishes done right, but El Dorado absolutely nailed it. Every bite was packed with flavor and clearly made with care.

What really made the experience stand out was Manny, the owner. He’s incredibly warm, welcoming, and passionate about what he does, you can feel that energy from the moment you walk in. The entire staff was just as friendly and attentive, which made the service top-notch from start to finish.

The ambiance? Stunning. Super cozy, vibrant, and totally Instagram-worthy, the kind of spot you want to bring friends to or just treat yourself. And don’t sleep on the Pisco Sours, they’re dangerously good and crafted to perfection.

Can’t wait to come back. El Dorado has definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation!

The best ceviche. A little spicy but delicious. My wife doesn't like spicy food but she loved the ceviche here.

I had lunch here recently, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The service was extremely poor—disorganized and inattentive. As for the food, it was far from fresh or flavorful. What was served barely resembled a proper meal: just a bowl of overly salty broth with some vegetables and two small, uninspired pieces of beef. Definitely not worth the visit.

The BEST Peruvian restaurant in SF by far! Amazing empanadas, lomo saltado, pasta. The service is fast and the waiters on the spot. The owner is an amazing person and treated us as family.

We visited for lunch during a conference rush hour which slowed down service a bit. But the food was great and we enjoyed it!

Excellent Peruvian fusion restaurant. The Peruvian style Alfredo (with ají amarillo) was very delicious!

Everything about this place was amazing, from the atmosphere to the employees and not to mention the food. Will and have planned trips to SF just to visit this place.

Top Shelf, because the service is impeccable, the owner is selfless and extremely inviting, and the food is so very good. I am on the wagon, so I didn't indulge in the drink menu, but it looked fantastic. The atmosphere is intimate in the seating area, and vibrant in the bar space. It's a lovely establishment wher I will frequently dine.

We teamed up with El Dorado for a big industry event near the convention center, and it was amazing. Our company needed a place close by to host clients for three days, and this team did an awesome job.

They were super helpful from the beginning—letting us send stuff straight to the restaurant beforehand. What we enjoyed is how they worked with us to create a special drink menu that fit with our brand. These little things made a big impact on our team and our clients.

Each day, the service was top-notch, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious; everything went off without a hitch. We couldn't have asked for a better place and would recommend El Dorado for business or client events.
