Loved the food and price is not too bad. Recommend to get the Pho for dinner off the menu, Bun Cha and Banh Cuon!

Very nice 9-course tasting menu. We also saw some of the items from the main menu, and they looked good too. Huge tiger prawns; will order this next time!

Food: Banh cuon 5* , Pho Bodega 4*, Shaking beef 3* for rice not evenly cooked, Nem Cuon 4.5*, Dry hu tieu 3.5* for noodles stuck together without being coated in sauce. Service: 3.5*. One of my food boxes was not given to me in the stapled up paper bag and I didn't realize that my food's missing until I got home. Ambience: 4*. Outside the restaurant is a bit...Well, it's SF! ;/

Bodega is such a gem. The decor is beautiful ant the food fantastic. We loved discovering new flavors and every dish was so tasty. Highly recommend!

First time pre-theatre dining. Made reservations based on reviews. It was too cold. I like it cool but it was too chilly for even me. My wife hates to be cold and had to wear her jacket the whole time. Enjoyed our cocktails but they were out of ingredients for some of our preferred drinks. The pork belly meatball entree was delicious but way way too awkward to eat without a spoon, which you had to ask for. Had the lamb chops. The quality of meat was very good but the sauce almost inspecific as to seasoning and flavor. We would try one more time. Next show.

It was overpriced and nothing to write home about. The Bun Cha appetizer was good and meat was tender. The spring roll was terrible and had no flavor both with and without the sauce. The pho broth was good, but noodles were mushy and overcooked. The shaken beef was tender and I liked the light flavor of both the beef and potatoes, but my husband thought they lacked any flavor at all. The rice that came with this dish was pasty and severely overcooked. Service was spotty and seemed fake. We had to ask to get our water refilled twice and it just seemed like they felt bothered to even bring food to your table. It was all a little strange. We are happy we tried it, but we won't be returning here.

Service, food, and staff were all excellent. They were out of at least 4 cocktails on the menu, which was disappointing. We did not enjoy the alternate cocktails. The non alcoholic drink for my kid was much better. The food is also quite expensive. $67 for crab fried rice. Food was definitely not sharing size. The flavor did make up for the size though. The spring rolls were amazing and so was the fried rice. The host, and our server were also very attentive and make good suggestions. Our main complaint was the cocktails. I really wanted to try the soursop.

The front lady server maybe had a bad day. Never seen such a server that does not really want to care the customer. Requests intentionally ignored multiple times,

Good food. Please inquire about pricing for menu items that will be priced market value. Won't complain about it because I should have inquired about the market value of truffle fried rice

Fun spot for a lively crew on your way to a night out. Dishes of size and price for any appetite.

Email I sent to SF Bodega: "Thanks for having us at Bodega SF. We enjoyed the food as it was delicious! We did want to make you aware of a few things: We showed up on time (second party in the door), asked if we could sit at the big corner table up front, and were told no. We asked if we could have two tables next to each other, and were told no again, but this time rudely. They told us the restaurant was booked for the evening. (Host was a little rude). One of our groups of four were seated in a booth near the big table, the other in the very back by the kitchen. The big table up front was finally seated close to when we left with a small party of five. There was a six top next to the other table that was empty the entire time. This was a fail on your host's behalf. The server, for the table by the kitchen, with long hair, glasses, wasn't friendly, seemed put off that he had to serve us. The server for the table closer to the entrance was great! The table up front, the food came out promptly and at the same time, the other table by the kitchen, the service took forever. We asked that all the food come out together, but it didn't. Two plates were dragging really bad. Our experience here wasn't that good overall. We felt you should know this and pass this along. Please feel free to reach out if need be."

Awesome experience every time! Service is amazing and the mochi cake is probably the best dessert I have ever had.

Disappointed. Heard of the good reviews but our experience was not good. We came on a weekday for lunch. Of course no reservations. We were led to a table that is small and closest to the restroom while almost all the tables were empty. The entire restaurant only had two tables working including ours for the majority of our dinning period. The rice roll with mushrooms was good but the beef pho was unexpectedly terrible. Meat was given generously but doesn’t taste well/ fresh - it was hard to chew and had this weird taste that usually goes with stale food. It’s hard to believe a Vietnamese restaurant cannot get the pho right. Might be the worst I have tried so far. Alongside that, we have been waiiiiiting all the time. Waited 30mins ish for the pho to come and waited 30mins for the check. We tried to make eye contact but they won’t look at you. Not every friendly to working people who just want to get a quick lunch and go. Won’t come back again given the food, service and location….

My partner and I had a wonderful meal. Very attentive staff. Delicious food timed well. Good cocktails! Definitely will return to try some of the other offerings.

Yes, the food was delicious, unique and flavorful and the cocktails were well crafted and reflected the flavors of Vietnam. The service, however, was outstanding! Very welcoming and engaged in suggesting items to try and explaining the great variety of flavors. BodegaSF was definitely an unexpected pleasure to visit!
