I came to check out this place because I heard the last Indonesian restaurant in SF was closing. Food was good and reminded me a lot of Jayakarta (RIP), but more expensive. Food reviews: Martabak: I ordered this because they were out of the roti. It was tasty. Nasi Uduk: a bit disappointing - the meat was sparse and very dry. So so so sad that they are closing soon, we really need more Indonesian restaurant in the Bay Area :( I tried Borobudur the first time last week and it will probably going to be my last time too, since they are closing, not because the food wasn't good. I tried the Nasi Goreng terasi with ikan asin (fried rice with shrimp paste and salted fish) and Mi Ayam Sambel Ijo (noodles with green sambal). What is it about Indonesian restaurants in the Bay Area shutting down in droves? A month ago, the beloved Jayakarta in Berkeley closed, and now, Borobudur will soon be gone as well, leaving not a single Indonesian restaurant in SF!
