Very friendly, inviting tapas restaurant steps from our hotel. The food and wine selections were reasonably priced, varied and prepared with care. Would come again for the paella.

Service was lacking - the entire evening we were checked on once, and that was to order our food. Paella was undercooked + soupy.

Excellent dining experience. Menu suited everyone in our party - seafood, vegetarian, and especially the paella! The service was fantastic and the chef dropped by the table to check on us as well! We were very pleased!

This was our first time dining at Botas Tapas Bar. It's conveniently located directly across the street from The Curran theater so this is a great spot to dine before the show. We enjoyed our meal! I especially liked the meatballs. They were tender and beautifully spiced. We also ordered the eggplant dish. It was served cold. It would have been helpful if it specified that it was a cold dish, but it was good. The patatas braves are a must. They very tasty. We each ordered a glass of wine which was a very generous pour. Overall, we were pleased with everything we ordered. I would recommend this as an option for pre-theater dining!

This is a quaint restaurant with very delicious food. Service was good but the food was the star. Great for pre theatre .

The experience was very warm and welcoming coupled with amazing food! We were seated next to the kitchen, which got loud at times, but it was still good. The tapas were absolutely delicious and the paella was good - especially for my first time trying it!

Was underwhelmed by the experience, food needed seasoning, it lacked salt and pepper in most of the dishes I tried, which is unusual for restaurant not to season the food, service was great, server was professional, wine list by glass needs work!

The food is good. The people is nice. Prices are fair. I like it here.

A place for drinks perhaps but not to eat if you enjoy decent to good food. All the dishes we ordered were well below average - served cold when they're not supposed to be - but the mussels in particular were inedible as they were in a cold liquid without a trace of seasoning, or even the flavor that would come from having actually been cooked in the water. Odd and unpleasant.

Excellent food - a mix of tapas and paella, with several different types of paella. The atmosphere was pleasant inside a hotel, the service was excellent. The food was delicious, came in a reasonable amount of time, was plated attractively. The prices were fine - $135 for two people with drinks, 3 tapas and 1 paella. I don't recommend the mojito, but overall an enjoyable experience.

We had wonderful mushroom and eggplant tapas followed by a delicious seafood paella and sangria. All were superb!

Extremely inattentive service. Went in for breakfast and getting a coffee refill was rare. Had a member of our group join late, server never came to see if they wanted anything to eat. Food was fine.

A very busy weekend in San Francisco with a big conference going on at Moscone. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle in that area, close, but not too close. Colleague and I shared 4 tapas dishes, all good and a chocolate fondant dessert. I would recommend and return.

We came here with a big group of 10 and had such a great time! The head chef and possible the owner(?) personally took care of us, which made the evening feel extra special. The food was fantastic, the tapas were spot on with tons of variety and flavor. The lamb chops and bacon-wrapped dates were absolute standouts (must-try dishes!). Everyone at our table loved their drinks too. Great vibe, great service. I'd definitely come back again!
