Good dinner. Raw oysters, muscles, shishito peppers, and paella (surf n turf). All good. Good service too.
We Wandered in here around 2pm on a weekday, knowing nothing, just needing to fill a void. Everything about it was wonderful. We made a meal out of several tapas dishes and a bowl of fish soup. All were amazing and the portions much larger than you would expect. Loved the service too. We're only in SF for a few days & decided to go back for dinner one night. It's That tasty!

I really enjoyed the food, wine, ambiance and service at Bota. If you're looking for a charming lunch spot in downtown San Francisco, give it a try.

Happened to pick this spot at random on our last day in SF, when no one else was in there, and it turned out to be one of the best meals we had in the city.
They were so wonderful to large party fairly early in dinner service as we were trying to make a concert on time. Super fun and attentive severs. Celebrated a special occasion with style as well!!!!
Yummy experience
What a gem of a place! Conveniently located in the Union Square area, Bota offers a genuine tapas and paella experience. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a nice view into the kitchen while the chef prepares your order. Staff was courteous and friendly. We were having a late lunch but were in time for the special, $39 includes a choice of seafood soup, tomato salad or olives; paella (we choice seafood) and then to finish off a dessert. We went with the ganache. The olives were amazing and enough to share. The seafood was fresh and bountiful! The ganache was rich and delicious, so much so that we could only eat half our serving and took it back to the hotel for a late night snack. Highly recommend this place and would visit again.

Great tapas—the bacon-wrapped dates were incredible. The service was professional and prompt. Unfortunately, SFO is struggling, so the place was empty...on a Friday night. I hope enough folks patronize them...
Great food. Really delicious and tasty!

The waitstaff was exceptional in their service and recommendations for appetizers, entrees, dessert and wine selections. The meal was perfect and we appreciate being made to feel special at a very busy restaurant on a pretty busy night. We will be back!
Great vibes, chill ambiance and delicious food! Our serve Keith went above and beyond from start - explaining the menu and all the way to deserts! Would definitely come back here when in SFO. I don’t have much photos bec it was demolished.
