Few times do recommendations from others exceed your expectations. This is one of the exceptions. Get an old fashioned with Wilderness Trail. Ask for Dimitri. All will be right in the world.

Stumbled into this pub after a show in the theatre district and experienced a rush akin to what the first prospector must have felt finding golden nuggets in the Sacramento Valley - EUREKA! We have struck gold!!

Bottle Club Pub really IS gold — killer cocktails, mouthwatering food, suave atmosphere, and reasonable prices. It’s almost too good to be true.

The rotating liquor shelf is the star feature of this lounge, and it’s incredibly mesmerizing to watch it spin around as the red lighting dances on the bottles. It was fun to watch each new group notice it the first time it moved for them — it seems a pretty ubiquitous experience that everyone enjoys watching it.

The decor is kitschy Americana but in a classic, timeless way — very Norman Rockwell-esque. It gives off a masculine atmosphere with a warm, sensual vibe.

The cocktails were excellent and sit around $15 (affordable by SF standards, for sure). The TL crush was bright and fruity, while the Plum Daisy was surprisingly robust. Plenty of options for cocktails as well as draft beer and a small selection of wine.

The real standout however was the food — the fish and chips were PHENOMENAL. They were incredibly crispy and dusted with a type of chicken salt that added a unique layer of umami. The fries were lightly battered (which I loved) and the tartar sauce had fresh dill in it.

The Nashville Chicken sandwich was about as authentic as you can find in the Bay — it was dripping in that classic Nashville sauce and had just the right amount of spice.

The service was excellent and friendly. They initially mistook my fish and chips order for a burger, but when they brought out the wrong dish they quickly made it right and we didn’t have to wait long at all for the right order.

Can’t wait to come back and try more things on their menu. We’ll be showing this hidden gem to all our friends for as long as they keep that cool rotating liquor shelf maintained!

I want to let you know by this means that yesterday we arrived with my friends, I only accompanied them and I was already tired when the bar manager told the employee that they should not give me any more to drink when I didn't even ask for any alcohol and my friends asked them what the problem was and the manager didn't let up and started yelling in a disrespectful way when instead of gaining clientele or people the only thing they do is stop more people from coming until he ran my friend away and I let all the employees know that they will no longer let him in. Furthermore, we saw how he scolded an employee in front of us. It's bad that they put him as manager if he doesn't know how to be a good leader. It can also be a very serious problem to accuse someone who He spoke badly when we only asked him what the problem was, it was the manager, otherwise I'm bad, I always wear a cap!!!!!

Damn, these drinks are awesome. My drinking mate loves whiskey, and sampled a four roses bottle he’d never tried before.

I love their sweet blended cocktails, I’ve tried them all, and am a big fan.

Duke of Earl is especially great, it’s always a nice surprise having an earl grey hint in a beverage.

Food is ok, but I don’t care much about it when I’m there to drink. The loaded potatoes are great in the moment.

Only bummers:

- the music changes every time we’re there. Once it was British rock, then it was soul music, then pop. I like them all just fine, but would love to have the same expectation for the people I’m bringing with me.

- the seats on the left-hand side of the restaurant are uncomfortable with the tables they are paired with. The barstools (like the ones actually at the bar area) are way better.
