We made a reservation for 12 noon, their 1st seating on a Friday during Fleet Week. We were the 4th group who got seated. However our server was more interested in taking pictures of the ships and the view from their restaurant deck, he didn't come by to take our order for quite a while. We noticed all the table around us who were seated after us got their food. We asked another server to on our order, then our food came right away. However, Our burger came cold and well-done even though we ordered medium-rare. We sent the burger back. 2nd time around, burger still came well-done, we sent it back again. Only 3rd time the burger came medium-rare, and very good. The crab Louie salad was good. The 2 Crab pastas were very tasty. We would not recommend this place for service, only for it's view and location.

The crab and spinach fondue is amazing! The iron skillet combo is my fave. I'll be back for sure.

Our waiter was marvelous, the view of the bay even from the third row of tables was enjoyable, and the food was very tasty. Overall a satisfying experience.

Delicious dinners and outstanding service. Love all the photos of the famous visitors too. Loved sitting to see the view of the bay. Wonderful experience!

Food was very good, service was excellent they didn't rush you even thought the restaurant was staring to fill up.

Trop cher pour la qualité....et le service n'est pas à la hauteur. Nous avions une réservation pour 20 heures....et comme ce restaurant ferme à 20 h il fallait certainement faire vite.... tant pis nous n'y retournerons pas

bathrooms were a bit dirty, suggest they are kept up. Food and service was great! Thank you!

We arrived after rushing through traffic. Overall a disappointment. Upon entering the noise level was very high. We were seated by a drafty stairway by the front door. We looked out at a dark window at the bay. We sat for a good ten minutes before water was brought to us. We looked at the menu and decided against staying. The main reason is the prices on the menu ($1.50 for bread and butter)did not match our experience as we entered the restaurant. We did not know where else to go at that hour but we left. Overall the value is very low along with service.

Crabs were horrible and the place was not clean. If you didn't order an alcohol drink, the server was not too interested in helping you.

La ubicacion es privilegiada y tiene muy lindas vistas de la bahia, la comida es comercial y poco distintiva

Event hough it's located in a super touristy location, I love this place for the views of the Bay and Alcatraz, seafood and atmosphere.

Always went to the Franciscan before Covid. Our first trip back after Covid. No more free bread ($2). Prices up. Staffing down. I don't blame the restaurant for staffing (it's tough across the USA), but come on! Add $1 more to menu items so I feel like you're not nickle and diming me over bread!

A very nice place with a view of the bay. The crab was outstanding. We also had a clam chowder that was good, maybe a little bit cold. The service was nice and effective although at the end of the service maybe a little bit too relaxed. We found the price of the beverage to be high. Overall a very nice evening and a very good dinner

Fantastic crab, it will ruin all other crab for you. I was off put by the hostesses seating walk ins before my reservation when the parties were the same size. We were also sat in a noisy area. Ambiance wasn't fantastic, it felt cheaper than it was. The food made up for it!
