Another wonderful dining experience at Bouche. Our host Glen was superb in his service and recommendations for dishes, dessert and wine.
We had a wonderful dinner! Delicious food, charming, atmosphere, and attentive service-a great experience and a great value for dining out in SF!
Perfect combination of french service with american speed. Amazing food, great menu fixed that leaves enough room for dessert! I love the ambiance, great place to eat and sip wine for a few hours.
Quality bistro fare that wasn't SF-overpriced in a cozy upstairs den made for a nice meal. Their computer system was down, which probably caused a hiccup in our service that ultimately made us miss dessert to make a theater curtain (we more or less sat at our table without a drink for the first 15 minutes while tables that arrived just after us were served first.) So, maybe a bit unlucky there, but the food turned out as well as the menu described and I can see why this place has been around for so long.
What a great surprise this place turned out to be! It honestly felt like we stumbled onto a hidden gem. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and perfectly paced—and the vibe was super chill and welcoming. Our server, Jun, (I hope I'm spelling this right), was amazing. He made us feel like old friends and gave great menu suggestions. I had the prix fixe menu while my husband ordered à la carte, which was perfect for trying a little of everything. We had the bread starter, wild mushroom soup, pork chop with bone marrow, petrale sole, and finished with a creamy panna cotta. Everything was delicious! We paired it all with a nice bottle of red and ended with coffee. The menu changes monthly, and there's even a “chef's surprise” option we'll try next time. Can't wait to come back to Bouche!
We had a most enjoyable dinner.. sat upstairs.. had the 60 dollar pre fixed dinner...mushroom soup...petrale sole.. panacotta...very nice...and Glen recommended a beautiful Sancerre.. which is my favorite with petrale...the server and Glen made us feel welcomed...we shall return to enjoy their seasonal menu.
Service was outstanding and professional, menu isn't huge but plenty of options and the food was delicious. Had the pork chop and it was cook perfectly. Space is cozy with a lot of character.
I had an excellent experience at Bouche! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere felt cozy and elegant, perfect for a date night. Service was outstanding; the staff were attentive, friendly, and made the evening feel special. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!
Charming, small and casual spot; wait staff very welcoming and personable. Charcuterie plate is far above the offerings elsewhere with bone marrow, duck breast and pate. Hearty portion. Pappardelle with beef cheeks is bright and surprisingly light, avoids the heavy, oversalted and overherbed versions that are usually on offer. Perfectly cooked pork chop with delicious sauce. Great wine list
Great food and Great Playlist!! E gas the chef's reason menu and everything was really yummy.

Booked this place on a whim before a concert. It's an intimate space with lots of charm. Has a limited menu, which we actually appreciate when the food is done well. Everything we had was delicious, service was attentive, and would return.
I had such a wonderful experience at Bouche last night. The ambiance was warm and lively — I sat at the high-top bar and loved being able to watch all the excitement in the open kitchen. I started with the salmon gravlax, and let my server guide me on the wine pairings — she was absolutely spot on. For my main course, I had the sole, served with broccolini and mashed potatoes, finished with a bright pesto that had a hint of citrus — it tied the whole dish together beautifully. To finish, I had the strawberry cake, which was the perfect way to celebrate the end of strawberry season. It reminded me of the one my grandmother used to make when I was a child — such a lovely, nostalgic touch. The staff were all wonderful — friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. I was inside enjoying the cozy, energetic atmosphere, but even the parklet outside looked inviting, with everyone staying warm under the heat lamps. Great location just off Union Square, and an all-around fantastic dining experience. I'll definitely be back!
The food was really great but the service was the best part. Our waiter was very helpful in guiding my gluten free companion through the menu.
Definitely check out the pre fixe menu; it's seasonal and changed quite frequently—but it's a great deal for a delicious meal. The menu is thoughtfully crafted and so appropriate for anyone. My server David was outstanding! He always explained things to me, worked with my meal preferences, and made certain that everything was perfect. My only issue was that as a solo diner my seating options were so limited. I do highly recommend this outstanding restaurant.
