We chose the seasonal menu. Our waiter helped us choose a wine that went well with our meals. The appetisers and entrees were superb, the desserts were good but not in the same league.

Great ambience! Cozy spot with kind and courteous staff. Special menu and high quality dishes with good wine - can't go wrong. May be best Union square has to offer

Great menu this month and the duck was delicious. Thank you Lucas for the suggestion to go with Chocolate Financier.. Loved it

So delicious! It's French except the servers are friendly... Confusing. But wonderful!

If you are looking for a slice of the Parisian hole-in-the-walls in San Francisco, you've found the right place. Best meal, service, and ambience in a restaurant I've had in a long time. Can't wait to bring the parents here!

The food is quite good, the service is excellent, and the setting is cute (but a bit cramped). The duck leg in particular was really excellent! But the menu is seasonal, so you'll probably have different options to choose from.

You see all those recent photos just posted of your neighbors protecting your business from going up in flames? That's five years ago, the looting of Union Square. Yeah, those are you neighbors you constantly disrespect. Get it together please. We want to like you.

We celebrated our 52nd anniversary, we could not have picked a better restaurant in San Francisco. The charcuterie board was absolutely amazing! It included smoke duck, bone marrow, and fabulous pate, I highly recommend ordering the charcuterie board when visiting Bouche. The salad was also very good and the lobster risotto with prawns was also delightful. The Pavlova dessert topped off a perfect evening. The surface at the restaurant was exemplary.

We visited Bouche after an afternoon performance at The San Francisco Playhouse. We got there right at opening and were treated to the window table. The abbreviated menu is appreciated and each of the dishes that our group ordered was wonderful. The deserts were a real standout as well and David was the BEST server. I cannot wait to go back!

One of our all time favorites in San Francisco. For SF standards - it’s an affordable fine dining experience and it’s French which I love. Dining room is small and efficient - reminds me of a place in Paris. Menu is fantastic and there’s something for everyone. I love how you can order a “Mystery Item” and they will tell you what it is after you eat it. Enjoy!

I gave them 5 ⭐️ originally but it’s annoying that they only offer tap water which is notionally bad downtown. If you offer bottled still water I will update to 5.

My first time try pavlova and I fell in love. This dessert is absolutely amazing.

The service was definitely much better than the food. Friendly, genuine, attentive people. I really wanted to say the same thing about the food, but sadly not. A cream soup that had lost any of the freshness of the vegetables. A pork chop with an incipit paprika sauce that I think was embarrassed to be on the plate. And then a dessert to bring it home that was mostly sweet and fatty glop and not much else.

The people serving us were wonderful and very helpful. The outdoor seating, which is in a protected parklet on the street, was very pleasant. The food was a mixed bag. The scallops were outstanding; the salad was over-dressed, but tasty; and the lobster bisque risotto was good. The wine that was recommended was very good. Dessert, a raspberry creme fraiche concoction, was delicious. I would go back.

This is classic French cuisine with a California us twist and the ambiance is so French bistro delightful! Our server (I think he's the manager but we arrived at 530 pm) Glenn was OUTSTANDING. Personable , knowledgeable, funny, did not rush us through our meal . This is a perfect romantic restaurant , do not hesitate to go. Great food!!!

Our experience overall was fantastic! The service was great (poor thing was busy as heck). The salad, swordfish and wine was delightful. My only disappointment was the risotto. I love risotto and was looking forward to it. There wasn't a lot of flavor and some of the rice bits were crunchy. Left some to be desired, and I should have gone with the pork chop!
Overall it's a lovely place.
