Very disappointing breakfast burrito. The wrap was too hard and it was more potatoes than anything else. I stopped in because I was walking by and was very hungry but I should have waited.

Great sourdough loaves. To be perfectly frank, it was the absolute best sourdough that I have ever eaten. The rest of the breads and bakery items also look amazing but the sourdough is to die for. Check this place out for certain while in San Francisco because they seem to have several locations. Truly remarkable sourdough!

3rd day in this absolutely beautiful city- the lady at the counter was appallingly rude in her attitude and body language which was inexplicable- tables were dirty- no dearth of options matey, so chuck the attitude to clients- no wonder Caffè central stark opposite, was full and we came to Boudin as no spaces there- not visiting again, unless wish to spoil one's mood in a beautiful place- Dr. B, UK

I love everything that I just had. The clam Chowder in a sourdough bread is awesome!. The grilled cheese sandwich is also delicious. And my new friends from Mexico are very kind and It was a pleasure to meet them. I sincerely recommend this place.

My favorite sandwich is the turkey cranberry on a croissant! It is so yummy! Many times I have found the sandwiches from Boudin to be dry and not full of condiments and meat, cheese, etc but this is definitely the one to get!! I also ordered the grilled cheese with Brie cheese and pear but it is very dry as there wasn’t enough fillings etc. The flavors are great but not enough items to fill the bread. The clam chowder on sourdough bowl is always amazing though. You can change the bread to a croissant and it would probably be softer and better.

Predictably good sourdough. The broccoli cheddar soup was creamy with a good cheese flavor, and the clam chowder was "fine" (partner says he would rate soup itself lower but the bread itself is the star).

This is the first time I’ve tried this bakery. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with a side salad. Husband got The Italians sandwich with chips. Both were fresh made, bread was soft and we could tell it was sourdough. Yum!
The space was small and there wasn’t much variety of breads and sweet bakes. Fortunately, we went there around 3, when it was empty. So, we had nice meal with our baby.
There’s more space downstairs, if you enter in Macy’s. I didn’t know this, until we used the restrooms at the mall, and saw they had more breads and the dining area was bigger.
Staff was helpful. But they could improved on the cleanliness (:

Incredibly rude -unhelpful staff- management sucks here and i can tell- cheap ruthless place- I realize no one wants to work anymore- then implement something useful for people who only want the bread- and buy the bread loaves and not have to deal with anyone- just pay and go!!! you have something as famous their bread and it's known all over the world- the staff should understand and be helpful i came all this way and only came to pick up the bread- to take back home - but they wouldn't help or want to help- I will not be eating this again????

Food was delicious and the workers were very kind. This was our first time dining here and they prepared everything so quickly and brought it out as soon as it was done, in waves, so everything was super fresh. I highly recommend the pull apart sourdough with some soup to dip it in, I had butternut squash and it was delicious. One of our favorite meals of the trip!

No, if you're only going to sell cookies, why don't you say open at 8 o'clock... ..I went there and they said soup and sandwiches start at 10 o’clock. Sigh… ..
