Beautiful restaurant in an iconic SF hotel. Everyone there is super nice and attentive. Crab pasta and pop tart were so delicious. Excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Wonderful spot! Service down to the food was amazing! I've also been to his restaurant in Vegas, and The Bungalow in Tiburon! All 3 surpassed my expectations! Also, stop by Steph Curry's bar as well for some creative cocktails if you get the chance. Definitely will be back! For the braised short ribs :) really nice spot for date night or celebration!

French fries, onion rings, and potato croquette were great. Salads were a bit underwhelming. NY with horseradish crust was amazing. Becca and Pete are great and will make your experience enjoyable.

Dined here for dinner on a Sunday. Our reservation was 5pm. Sat immediately. However, didn’t get our drink order in for over 45 minutes. The server was friendly. Took our entire order at one time. The apps came out and the drinks eventually arrived. The food timing was a bit longer than it should have been. We left at 7:30 without desert. Food was good. The fries were delicious. Tuna tartare was okay, should probably be paired with something else other than the bread it comes with. We will come back to try other items soon.

Always wanted to have a drink here. They are almost 5 stars. My martinis were ok. Staff needs a bit of polishing. …and you be the judge. Do the math. Look at the picture of my receipt.

We had one of the extremely worst dining experiences at Bourbon Steak in San Francisco, party of five. From the moment we were seated I noticed some kind of a dried stain and a dried small piece of food in my empty glass and informed the server about it before he served us water after 10minutes of wait for the menu. Then 10minutes wait again to take our drink orders and ordered our food as well for we’ve been waiting for more than 30 minutes. After orders were taken, the server asked if we wanted another round of drinks(anyway cocktails were watered down and couldn’t hardly taste the alcohol) My friend told the waiter, “what would you recommend?” The server just handed the cocktail menu and didn’t say anything at all and left. Fries came like 15 minutes later, they’re good though. Food came after a couple minutes but we didn’t have any silverware, which was extremely odd. When the sides were served, 2 of us ordered the same side of broccolini. The server should have pointed that out so we could have ordered different sides. Our server rarely checked on us, he came back to ask if we’ve decided of what drinks to order after we finished eating our meal, very unprofessional! Some of the entrees was really good though like the Salmon, Kona Kampachi and Mac and cheese.

The biggest disappointment, however, was the steak. For a restaurant that prides itself on premium cuts and fine dining, the quality was unacceptable. The steak was tough, dry, and no seasoning and to think my friend ordered “wagyu ribeye.”It certainly did not reflect the high prices on the menu. When the general manager approached our table and when we addressed the issue, there was little concern or effort to correct it beyond a brief apology and handed his business card instead and asked for me to personally email him the concern. It felt like they profiled us and ignored us on purpose, which was very disappointing.

Overall, the experience did not match the reputation or cost. Poor service combined with subpar food made this visit extremely disappointing. Definitely ,I would not recommend Bourbon Steak based on this experience and will never come back.

Visited over the holidays for a tasting with a friend. The service was above and beyond! I can’t express this enough, the servers were really passionate about helping us enjoy the experience. I tried a ton of food but what really stood out was the fish and steak. Looking forward visiting again soon.

Extremely disappointed with Bourbon Steak and will not be returning. This was the first time I visited since their reopening a few months ago. We arrived 30 minutes early and were told we could not be seated until the exact reservation time, which was fine, but once we were seated, there were several open tables and the restaurant was nowhere near full. It took the server 10 minutes to stop by with menus and another 10 minutes to take drink orders, at which point we just ordered food as well. It was over 30 minutes after being seated that we received our drinks. Fries came out about 10-15 minutes later (they were tasty). The cocktails were watered down, like shockingly. When a bourbon based drink tastes more like water than bourbon, there’s a problem. The meal arrived soon after and was placed on the table before the silverware, which was odd. Once the food came we realized that 2 of us had ordered the same side of broccolini. We would have appreciated the waiter pointing this out so we could have ordered another side, which was frustrating, because we couldn’t really hear each other order (party of 5). What made it worse, was that it was tough and tasteless. The $140 “wagyu” ribeye was not marbled, not tender, and tasted no different than a steak from Outback. I don’t mind paying for my food, but you would expect much more from an alleged high end restaurant. We were starving so we ate the food, but we couldn’t complain anyway, as our server never followed up until after the meal. When we asked for cocktail recommendations he handed us a menu, and then never returned until we were past ready to leave. It took 30 minutes to get our check, during which management decided to stop by and we let them know our dissatisfaction. They tried to “make it right” but asked us what they could do. We just wanted to pay and leave at that point. Some of the entrees were good (salmon, fish, Mac and cheese). But for a steakhouse, the steaks were garbage. I honestly feel like I was left out of a bad joke. We will not be returning. This place is a far cry from what it used to be.

Waitress was trying to sell us the most expensive items, regardless of what we said. Asked for a rare steak, got borderline medium. Also, $110 steak, was so over salted the fries were a respite

I had the pleasure of dining at Bourbon Steak & Lounge San Francisco last night, and I’m still thinking about the experience. The New York strip was easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time—perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. When I couldn’t decide between the grilled shrimp or scallops as a side, the bartender recommended the scallops, and they somehow managed to steal the show. They were outstanding.

The experience began on a high note with the chef’s complimentary amuse-bouche of duck fat frites paired with an assortment of dipping sauces—an excellent introduction to what was to come. To top it off, the recommended signature cocktail complemented the meal perfectly.

San Francisco should be genuinely excited that, after a long wait, the Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square has opened such an exceptional dining destination. Bourbon Steak & Lounge feels destined to become one of those must-mention spots when people talk about the best places to drink and dine in the city.

My sincere compliments to the chef and the entire staff for an unforgettable evening.
