Tasty!
Great service and some of the best Chinese food I have had. Everything tasted very fresh. The vegetables had a good crunch and the dimsum was outstanding. The siumai was large and the chicken feet had great umami. The sweet and sour pork had really good flavor, texture, and crunch.
The beef chow fun came in a big portion. The tofu beef was amazing. The kung pao chicken had lots of peanuts which made it extra tasty. The beef spareribs were huge with a crispy outside and a tender inside and they were seasoned really well.
The service was great from start to finish. For the first time ever in a Chinese restaurant we did not have any take home food because we devoured everything.

The food was good, not great. But the service was really bad. I’m not sure if the woman was being racist but she threw the menus at our table and wasn’t friendly at all. When the food came she did the same with the food, like she was in a rush or something, but she wasn’t. There weren’t too many customers at the time so why the brashness. They added tea to our bill which we didn’t order! Also it’s charged per person!? And overall I felt like she was being racist because with other Chinese customers she was more friendly. To top it off, she demanded I pay 15% minimum tip when I was about to pay 10% even after the bad behavior. So do not recommend.

Don't be fooled by the lack of atmosphere. The food is excellent.

We came here to try the bbq fried rice. They are called a dim sum cafe but people who were eating here seemed to be ordering more a la carte/entree type dishes.
It looked like your typical restaurant in the area. Nothing fancy but pretty busy. Our bbq fried rice was fresh and tasty. Simple but satisfying and reasonably priced.

Terrible dim sum. Avoid at all costs even if it’s affordable. Shrimp dumpling undercooked and mealy inside, overcooked outside.

Restaurantji Recommends
One of the best dim sum restaurant I've been to. Dumplings are freshly made and sooo flavorful! Other dishes we also very tasty! Highly recommended!! We had dinner with 8 people (& we eat a LOT), it was less than $30 per person. Great value for quality. They gave us free deserts on the house! We will definitely come back when we visit SF

We were here twice and the first time we came here it was not many customers but the second time we had to wait for a table. The buns, congee and the chicken feet y my favorite. One of my favorite restaurants in SF

The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, it smelled like piss everywhere. And don’t even get me started on the food, tell me why the other reviews siu mai looks really good and well cooked, when ours came out it looked unappetizing and when we bit into it, it was hot but raw. And for the tofu beef, the beef was really slimy and looked raw. And for the tea, why would you put the tea down the moment we came in, and not tell us that we will be charged 1.75 per person for the tea. And tell me why we needed to pay a tip of $15 and our bill was only $88. Overall the experience was awful. Would not recommend if you have a sensitive nose the bathroom smell is so strong and the bathroom doesn’t even have a frickin door!!

Broadway Dim Sum Cafe surprised me in the best way. I was expecting mid, based on some of the reviews, but this place slapped. The pork and veggie buns were fresh and fluffy with that good steamy dough and flavorful filling.
The chow fun was delicious. Chewy, silky noodles with great wok flavor and not oily. But the real star was the braised pig trotters. Fall-apart tender, with the perfect mix of rich fatty bits and soft lean meat, all draped over a bed of cabbage soaking in sauce. I still think about that.
Overall the food hit, service was fast, and it felt like a true neighborhood spot - no frills, just good food flying out of the kitchen. Def coming back.
Food was ok...the restaurant wasn't very clean, flies flying around tables and smelled of cigarettes. This seemed like a place where neighborhood grandpas would come in just to gab rather than to eat.
