Went there with a group during the GDC, 85.00USD for a margarita pitcher, service that was WAYYYYYY too long (about 3.5 hours to have supper + the bill). The food was okay but took about an hour to get a single burrito. The very displeasing staff refused to separate the bill (we were a group and no one knew each other) we had to argue with the staff and manager for about 40 minutes and the only thing we could do is pay with separate cards on ONE SINGLE BILL...convenient for business expanses.Never going there again and with all the restaurants that offer good service in the SF area, don't waste your time and money there !

Since my last review the hours are now consistent. After speaking with the staff, I learned they were undergoing some changes. The bar staff are amazing. Drinks are great too. As always, the food is delicious.

Came to this place to eat a little snack and have a drink before work and I was so disappointed. No one was in there except for another couple and I got seated at the bar& the manager and bar tender just kept talking and ignored me and didn’t give me a menu until 5 minutes later. Margaritas were ok. Tasted like soda water and tequila. Mole wings were so sweet u couldn’t even taste the mole. Only ate two and didn’t want anymore. Mole is hard to make, which I get, but with a little spice maybe they could’ve been better. I also got a taco al pastor. Which was really good. Thank God. But 10$ for one taco the size of the palm of my hand? Ummmmm no. It was good but it was worth 5$ tops. The bar tender was this young white guy & he was just weird. From start to finish. Service is terrible. Food isn’t worth it. Don’t waste your money here. This place needs some work.

Service here sucks! If you don't have a reservation don't bother coming here. Even if you do and you don't work in the nearby office buildings they'll treat you like trash. Had to ask for the water to be filled. Items on the menu were sold out even though they just opened. Food is overpriced and greasy. Waiters left multiple times while we were ordering, like what's the rush? Your food takes almost an hour to come out anyways.

Good food, but the restaurant had trouble keeping up with the crowd. Some cocktails were not available, I'm guessing that's also due to crowds. Having said that, the staff were all great.

This is a great little culinary find in downtown San Fran. Mexican cuisine close to the Moscone Center.Food is fabulous. All food is fresh and handmade. The staff is wonderful and friendly.Vicki is an amazing bartender. The head chef, Eric, knows how to bring the taste of Mexican food to the palate.Clean establishment with beautiful decor.Prices are affordable compared to the surrounding options. This place was so great I had to come back... Twice. Thanks Buena Vida, for a remarkable dining experience.

Amazing surprise. Went for a casual meal at the bar. Servers and bartender were super friendly, food was very good. The trio of salsas with the chips was amazing, and the crispy carnitas taco was DELICIOUS!!

Slow service, terrible food, unprofessional and inattentive staff. The host/greeter/waiter conducted himself unprofessionally and had an issue with personal space—that is, he insisted on getting way too close when interacting, asking for our orders, bringing food, etc. This is how we discovered he was drunk: his breath smelled heavily of alcohol, and he did spend most of his time socializing with the bartender. We were neglected for much of the meal and had to chase him down to pay and ask for other items. The restaurant was mostly empty. At one point we were told that we were not allowed to have a lime on the side of our guacamole because the chef had already mixed it in. The guacamole looked amazing on the plate but was not freshly made from avocados there. It had been refrigerated based on the very cold temperature and the weird flavor that happens when food is next to something stinky in the fridge. The food was awful. Had carnitas enmoladas and the burrito, all ingredients tasted like refrigerator and the texture was like food that had been reheated in microwave. Tortillas were tough and gummy. The mole was so so spicy and did not taste like mole. The meat in the burrito was not good. It was carne asada. The water glasses smelled weird too.
