This place has the best food. No matter what you order, the food quality is delicious. Wow.
Fantastic food and service, Burma Love is always so fantastic! They are accommodating, staff is always quick and helpful. You'll have such a good time
Second time here. Ordered the aged duck curry, which was good. Could’ve been spicier (not affecting my rating). Rice on the soggier side - not sure if this is a Burmese thing.
Spent $58 after tip and I only ordered tea, curry, and rice. The prices are insanely high, and charging $5 for rice is unbelievable. That makes enjoying the full duck curry dish the way it’s supposed to near $40.

This place never disappoints! The cocktails are yummy (especially the Burmarita with tamarind and tequila), the food is delicious (Tea Leaf Salad and Samusa Soup are a MUST), and the service is friendly and prompt. 10 out of 10.
This is my favorite restaurant in all of the US. I've been going to Burma Superstar and Burma Love since it first opened, and because of how much I loved the food I ended up travelling to Burma when the borders were briefly opened and had an amazing time with the wonderful people of Burma. I can't recommend this restaurant enough, it is the most incredible flavors you can put together.

The food is very good, prices are san francisco reasonable and it's a nice restaurant but very busy
They accommodated a change in our dishes no cost as it was too fishy for our taste. Also, their HH drink prices are great!
Honestly the food is not good. We got the garlic noodles with chicken which was extremely disappointing. The chicken was extremely overly cooked and rubbery, the noodles were average. The chicken coconut noodle soup was very average as well, not a lot of flavor besides coconut and salt.

A delicious lunch outing during restaurant week in SF. Everyone ordered the lunch special, various curry styles, lamb and eggplant. I had the eggplant and loved it. The mint tea was good too. I'll be back.
We were seated 40 minutes after our reservation time. barely an apology and our drinks weren't comped or anything. I get that it happens but I would expect someone to come apologize and take the round of drinks off the bill.

Started with tea leaf salad, samusa soup.
Entrees were fiery tofu, garlic noodles, tofu with fresh mint.
Desserts were tea-rimisu and fried banana milk.
Tea leaf salad is crunchy and delicious, a must! Samosa soup might have been the only thing that competed with it. Delicious appetizers!
Tofu with fresh mint was the best entree, garlic noodles were really good but didn’t stand out compared to the other dishes, and fiery tofu will likely be a skip next time.
Desserts were both mediocre, skip. But if bananan milk over the tearimisu if I had to make a choice.

Burma Love in the Mission District is the perfect sister spot to the longtime neighborhood favorite, Burma Superstar. It carries the same magic — those bold, comforting Burmese flavors — but in a fresh, modern setting.
We ordered the eggplant and daikon, fried rice, and mango chicken, and every dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. You can taste the care in the spices and textures — nothing feels heavy, just deeply satisfying. The drinks were also a highlight — strong, tasty, and thoughtfully mixed.
The space itself has a moody, intimate vibe with dim lighting and warm tones that make it feel both stylish and inviting. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Burma Superstar or new to Burmese cuisine, Burma Love is absolutely worth the visit. 🌶️🍚🍸

Burma Love has some standout dishes — the Tea Leaf Salad and the Garlic Noodles are definitely worth trying. The flavors are bold, unique, and overall the food quality is solid. The space itself is stylish and lively, great for a casual night out or a fun dinner with friends.
That said, the experience felt a bit inconsistent. Service was friendly but slow, and a few of our dishes came out lukewarm or with a long wait between them. It also felt a bit pricey for the portion sizes.
Not a bad spot by any means — just didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. I'd come back for specific dishes, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way.
