I've only been on campus for 2 days and I've ordered their drinks and vegan banana nut bread for both. I got a mocha and vanilla latte, both with almond milk and no whipped cream. Both vegan and delicious!Truly, I'm just waiting for the day I can try their vegan breakfast wrap (it's always out of stock) and other vegan pastries.

Great coffee, pastries, and ice cream at fair prices. There's usually a line here and for good reason: it's worth the wait. I had a single shot affogato with ube ice cream. The espresso was great and the ube ice cream was tasty too. A biscotto (a piece of biscotti) was placed on top. The price was $4.25, which is great considering that you can be charged $5 for just a scoop of ice cream in some parts of San Francisco. I've been here before for mango ice cream and espresso con panna, both of which were inexpensive and tasty. They serve Mitchell's ice cream, which is local, and their espresso has a rich flavor and isn't very bitter, plus all their coffee is organic. Finding a place to enjoy their items isn't an issue, because there's plenty of seating nearby.Vegetarian options: Ask employees for more informationKid-friendliness: Ice creamParking: No parking lot, parking can be found a short walk awayWheelchair accessibility: AccessibleDietary restrictions: Ask employees for more information

I love their coffee but it has been 3 times that I have asked for soy milk on my cappuccino but I get it with regular cows milk. I had very bad symptoms, my stomach was super upset since I'm lactose intolerant. They need to be more careful with making sure they use the milk that their clients ask for.

Need something to keep you conscious in class? Have tests/finals coming up however need an increase in energy? Get something here at Cafe 101! (Improper commercial) Other than the frequently long queues of understudies holding on to get the day by day morning espresso, I love this spot. I generally snatch a blueberry espresso cake (when I'm fortunate its not all taken) and a Match Green Tea Latte. Now and then I likewise get the Ice Gator with twofold shots. It will keep you conscious during the day and it tastes great. You can change your beverage around. The specialists here are great and proficiently quick with your beverages. In this way, the line might appear to be long however it goes by lovely quick. Beverages and bites are economical so it is "poor undergrad" reasonable

Great stop for caffeine or non-caffeine drinks here. They sell a range of different pastries including donuts, muffins, and croissants. Lines can get long especially when 9 a.m. classes are about to start but service is quick. Seating is also plentiful.

.10 cents for a cup of water. I'm losing faith in this school.

On a rush, stressed from studying, failing half your courses, in debt from student loans? Get yourself some caffeine and sweet carbs to drown out your depression from college life. Cafe 101 is located inside the Caesar Chavez Center at San Francisco Sate University. This is basically the college version of Starbucks. Their menu consist of pastries such as donuts, muffins, and croissants. Of course, being a cafe, they also have a similar array of caffeinated drink selections. Such as latte's, standard expressos, frappuccino, all comes in hot or cold options. The prices are also very similar to what you would pay at a Starbucks. ranges from $3-5 depending on size of the drink. Same with pastries which averages about $3 for one. The taste is pretty good. You cannot really go wrong with pastries and coffee. The drinks are average. Not the best tasting coffee there is, but it's pretty decent. I usually get the Iced Vanilla Sweet Cream in large and from my experience, it's pretty good. Though I would suggest skipping the whipped cream, it's obviously a canned one and liquid and doesn't taste good. If you're someone who loves coffee and espresso like I do, it's not necessarily the best tasting coffee, but it's inside a college campus, don't be picky. Pastries are really good, which to me are their strong point. Particularly their glazed donuts are really great. As for their service, it's fast. Not the most friendly, but hey, who has time when you're a college student trying to make a living, and dealing with other extra dramatic and annoying college students. It gets pretty hectic around the afternoon especially towards brunch/lunch time, so make sure to be patient, it's a college campus after all. Overall, it's your standard cafe. It's convenient and decent. Nothing more and nothing less. Starbucks isn't all that when it comes to coffee and food, so getting coffee here isn't the end of the world if you're used to that Starbucks chain life.

This cafe is so convenient when you're in HSS! In my opinion, the best things to get from here are the sandwiches. After coming here for years, I finally tried the Vegetarian Deluxe sandwich today. It was very delicious with a great assortment of different vegetables and it even includes avocado, which is great. The bread tasted fresh and delicious. The employees here are always friendly every time I come in. I'm only taking off one star though, because of a couple times that I ordered bagels. Once, the bagel was stale and another time the bagel was very messy with Nutella carelessly smeared everywhere. Other than that, I've had great experiences here and I will definitely be coming back.

I've been going here since 2016 (freshman year for me) and I'm currently a senior (class of 2020!). The prices are affordable and you should always carry cash around you since they do have a minimum card fee of 5 dollars if you try and use card there (but it's really easy to spend that amount if you end up getting two items from the cafe). Very worth your while to come and have this if you just need some breakfast or a pick me up. Just be warned though, during lunch time, the line gets extremely long to the point where it's at the entrance of the Caesar Chavez building but the staff works really fast to make sure the line keeps flowing well.

The food here is pretty good actually! I love getting the veggie sandwiches and the breakfasts when I can. However, the service is straight up disrespectful. When I go up and order a sandwich with my partner, I ask for them to split it down the middle so we can share evenly. Without fail it is unevenly split even though they tell me it will be even when I ask. I just don't get it.

If you come here, you gotta try their chicken pesto avocado sandwich --really good. Pros: speedy service. Food is always fresh. Cons: on busy days they tend to sell out of typical sandwich breads/loafs.

This place always has great service and friendly workers. Perfect for grabbing a bite between classes. I also applaud them for enforcing the ban on plastic straws and am happy to see little changes improving our school. I'd recommend the pomegranate tea limeade :)
