Don't be fooled by the serving size, every pastry is rich and heavy.

Food and coffee was good, and maybe it was the end of the day, but the staff and service did not come across as very friendly at all, and it wasn't as if we didn't give a reasonable tip! Sorry, but it didn't brighten our day, it just satisfied our bellies.

This is my local go to when I need an excellent tasting coffee before work. They have an amazing selection of Brazilian options for food. I tend to lean on the tasty misto, or the bacon avocado egg cheese bread sandwich! And, if you like hot sauce, don’t pass up a chance to try theirs out!
The staff are always friendly, attentive, and the cafe itself has plenty of space. It’s bright and has plenty of good vibes the plants and decor.
Could be busy on weekend mornings, but chills out for lunch and onwards.
Always a 10/10 when I visit.

Absolutely loved stopping by on our walk to the cable car. Enjoyed a delicious and unique gluten free crepe and a special Dubai chocolate latte. The decor is very nice- great atmosphere!

Awful coffee
Watery and burnt
The chipa with ham and cheese and other treats made me fall in love with this place. It also has milanesa sandwich, which I highly recommend. The coffee was delicious and the service was excellent too. Perfect spot for brunch!!

Great food, fresh made everything, even the eggs. They have a kitchen on the back. Fair prices, very friendly service staff. So many options of Brazilian pastry. Love love love!

I work just one block away and had somehow never noticed Café de Casa—I always walked on the Buena Vista Café side and, since this spot had been empty for so long, it just blended into the background.
What a pleasant surprise! The space is charming and welcoming. Sandwiches are on the small side—my own was tasty but petite—while my colleague’s milanese sandwich came with fries and was a more generous portion.
When we arrived, we were looking up at the menu on the wall when an associate came over and invited us to scan the QR code to see menu pictures—such a thoughtful touch that made ordering easier.
Special shout-out to JV: he is an outstanding associate with a natural talent for customer service. He goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and cared for. We work at a nearby hotel, and that’s exactly the kind of personality we look for in our own guest-service team.
A hidden gem at Fisherman’s Wharf—worth discovering!
