Good coffee, competitive prices. Good place to work in your computer for a while
Hidden gem in Hayes Valley. When everything around is overpriced, Cafe La Vie offers the same quality products at a more affordable price. Great bagel sanwhiches and lattes!
They say on a sign on their door they have free WiFi with purchase, make you buy something, then give you the password. Network name is cafe la vie - it doesn't show up. And when you ask, they say they can't do anything about it, don't bother helping you out or checking their router.
Great spot one of the only legacy Hayes Valley spots left! Love everything about this place!
Samantha is really nice. I Enjoy a good cup of coffee. Love giving my money to our locals. Enjoy the ride!!
Only place I've seen serve $2 black coffees around. But I got the London Fog which now my favorite way to order tea. Nice little spot with WiFi and outlets as well. Would go by again.
Small cafe, with great coffee (got an iced latte), great food (got a sesame bagle with egg, cheddar, sausage, onions and tomato), great atmosphere to get work done and friendly staff. Plus wifi!
Very nice and relaxing location, the coffee could better thought.
Great place to get a coffee and bagel. Mostly locals.
Best almond latte i have had anywhere in the world. Quaint coffee shop with a cozy ambiance. Just around the corner of octavia and hayes. All the other coffee shops on hayes are over rated, for coffee don't let thos place pass.

Friendly neighborhood Cafe. Good coffee, helpful staff. Worth a visit.
Horribly rude and denied access to the bathroom for my 8 month pregnant wife. This owner should be ashamed.
Chill atmosphere, animal friendly. Great year round, but also a great place to grab some shade on a hot summer day, with the nice trees out front. Coffee is fine, but that also depends on who's making it. The owner and main barista is absolutely the cutest!
Yes, more of this, less of Sightglass and all those precious coffee places. La Vie is cosy and just right.
Coffee is OK but the web-tattoed barista is terrible. He doesn't enjoy his work and really makes it obvious.
