Very bad very expensive they served what I didn’t ask to and they made me pay more than what was said. Chinese music on all the time… not even a legal receipt was done. I don’t like to do these reviews but I got scammed

I have visited San Francisco in July. I'm so happy that I have found this place by chance. Their food and drinks are excellent, traditional Hong Kong style. The place is clean. The price is actually too cheap. I have eaten here 3 of the 5 days. I was never disappointed.
Highly recommended.

They changed me more than the price on the menu. Make sure to calculate yourself before you pay it. No good.

Nice, authentic Chinese restaurant on the outskirts of Chinatown. Fair prices, peaceful atmosphere, kind and professional service. I got Mongolian beef! It has a little kick of spice in it. Sweet and savory!

They seem to favor people of their own race. The table next to us came in way after us and got their drinks right away and ordered right away. We were kept waiting until she came back to bring waters and take our order. We literally ordered one thing, wontons and their food still came first, we were kept waiting until I had to walk up to waitress to get our bill. Also we assumed wontons were cream cheese, they were not and were filled with chicken or some kind of meat. This was not specified on the menu what flavor it was, but this part was probably our fault as Chinese is not our first language.

Tried 2 dishes plus a drink. Both dinner dishes had little to no flavour.
The wonton soup had a metal shaving in it. Puts you off a bit.

Café New Honolulu imhv is a rising star in Chinatown relatively new yet should be regarded one of the most affordable, least expensive (considering both quality and quantity not necessary ambiente or service) and decent place with a variety of menu. In a nutshell, it is conveniently located on Stockton Street between Clay and Sacramento streets near Muni buses (8, 30, 30s, 45 and 1) and new LRV T line. My favorite dish is its Cantonese beef brisket 牛腩 wonton soup which imhv is the BEST (replacing ABC Restaurant used to be located on Jackson Street) in The City: deliciously prepared, i.e., real quality beef brisket牛腩, and insanely inexpensive: $8 bucks! (Common let's be honest tell me who can beat the Chinatown price? No one! LOL) Singaporean curry rice noodles are very good also as well as beef chow fun and fish clay pot. However, the service as agreed by other reviewers would be rather slow because there’s only “one man army” who is a nice young lady who tries her best to wait a total of twenty-five tables of guests from hosting, ordering, cashiering and cleaning. Personally, I always help her to clean up after I eat as I would be considered a regular as I visit there at least once a week. Best of luck to New Honolulu!

We ordered porridge, fish with white sauce spaghetti and fried rice. They all taste terrible. We went there for our first time just because the location is convenient and there's only 1 waitress that do all the food ordering, serving food, drink preparation and collecting $ from customers. Everything was terrible and I regretted going to the restaurant so badly especially it's on Mother's Day. I rather donated the $ to charity than paying to go to this restaurant again. The Chinese food is NOT authentic and I won't recommend this restaurant to any of the Chinese people on earth.

An enjoyable meal after exploring San Francisco Chinatown. Fried Rice with salted fish and chicken was my favorite. Complimentary tea was fragrant and good.

During a tour of San Fran, I walked through Chinatown and gave Cafe New Honolulu a try. Ordered the Sweet Fried Rice and Fish Balls. The rice was GREAT (loved the texture and stickiness). The fish balls did nothing for me - lived the sauce, but didn't enjoy the fish (it was made correctly, and I'm sure others love it, but it wasn't for me). However, I would go back and try another dish or two.
