Café Rx is truly a hidden gem tucked away in the Presidio, and once you find it, it’s absolutely worth the visit. The food quality is outstanding — everything tastes fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and genuinely made with care. Favorites like the tuna melt, vegetarian quesadillas, and the house-made chai latte are consistently excellent and easy to see why they’re so popular.

One of the biggest strengths of Café Rx is its value. The lunch combos are very reasonably priced for the quality and portion size, often including a fresh side salad, which makes it an especially great option for a satisfying weekday meal.

My go-to lunch spot in the Presidio. Mel the manager is one of my favorite people. The whole staff is friendly. Food is fresh and always delicious. And I mean always. Can’t beat the pricing and the generous portions. Once I was a part of a party of 30-40 people and they were able to accommodate us, after we called ahead to confirm if that was possible.

I had a really pleasant experience here. The organic eggs paired with hot sauce were full of flavor, and the croissant and granola were fresh and enjoyable. The staff was warm, respectful, and always ready to help. Everything felt well prepared and thoughtfully served.

Good relation price quality and a quiet courtyard

Has a bit of a cantina vibe, but the food is so much better!
We came here between visiting the Marina and before continuing on our way to the Yoda statue. Had chicken quesadillas for the first time, while my Mum chose the apple salad. Both dishes were delicious, and the home-made lemonade is also fantastic - same as their kind service. Great lunch spot for the weary traveler.

This was a nice cafe but apparently not open to the public anymore. Massive building and I tried about 8 different doors before giving up and going to Starbucks.

Very polite staff. Soup was hearty, salad was fresh, and portions were generous all around. The cashier even threw in a free drink on account of it being a slow day. Lighting is gorgeous and it feels like a little pocket of good in the City.

So skippable! So hard to find entrance, their staff looks overworked and is rude, the ambience is old and meh, the food itself is just edible.

We stopped here for breakfast whilst in the presidio. Brilliant little cafe! My husband and I both had the organic eggs, kids chose the cinnamon bun and toasted bagel. Great value for money, and was delicious! Would definitely recommend and would go here again should we come back this way again.
