Sandwich was delicious and the service was great! Seating is limited but is overall low-key and quiet away from the heavy foot traffic of Mission st. I will return to try more sandwiches and bagels out.

LOVE this cafe. Great coffee, amazing sandwiches, lovely people. I visit my sister in the neighborhood twice a year and I get a Vegetable Heaven sandwich pretty much daily. It’s the standard against which I measure sandwiches. My family are huge fans as well.

oh baby, i’m coming back! i was only in town for a few hours and dropped in with a friend and i got the breakfast panini (added the sausage).
i’m a breakfast lover and this is now one of my fave sandos. i don’t typically like lettuce and tomato on my breakfast sandwich but on their panini, and the little sauce situation… changed the game.
additionally, i love the vibe, the design, and the great people.
I only go here for lattes, although the food here looks amazing. All the staff are friendly and accommodating. The barista Kevin is one of the best latte makers in the city. He's like a Zen master making lattes.. lll be three deep in line and by the time I have reached the register Kevin will have a high quality latte waiting for me. I bring my bicycle in when I order and they just smile and admire the bike. They always make me feel welcome. I don't live in the neighborhood but whenever I pass through I make sure to stop and have a latte. Especially on a nice sunny day when I can sit on the sidewalk and admire my fellow San Franciscans .

I have been coming here for over 10 years. As someone who historically hasn't gotten excited by sandwiches, Cafe Seventy8 changed that for me. I order their Spicy Soppressata probably 80% of the time, but their chicken sandwiches are also perfection. The sandwiches are hearty and filling. Pro-tip: get their English muffin breakfast sandwich - it is amazing - so fluffy and perfect. The cafe is a beautiful hangout spot and the owners are lovely people.
