Cafe Tiramisu is a downtown gem, delighting diners for over 35 years. This restaurant serves the best authentic Italian food in San Francisco. The cioppino was absolutely delicious. My guests loved the branzino; they said it was perfectly cooked. The tiramisu and cannoli were scrumptious. All deserts and pastas are made in-house from scratch. The service was impeccable. Our waiter, Antonio, the owner's brother treated us like queens. Both owners, Pino and Giuseppe came to the table to chat and check on our experience. I can't wait to go back.
Everything that should be true about dining out is a reality at Cafe Tiramisu. The whole experience from service, ambience, food, and hospitality are just first class in a relaxed atmosphere. A better Italian meal than any other location you might try in North Beach several blocks away. Belden Place is a hidden jewel in the shadow of the BofA building.
The food was authentic Italian cuisine. Very fresh, wonderful ingredients and a pleasurable experience. Service was the best, with a very attentive staff. The Rigatoni was so very good, slightly spicey, beautiful sheen and topped with Pecorino Romano. The halibut was fresh with a delicate tomato sauce. Very light and delicate.
They have some of the best food in the city, you pretty much have to go often to get through the wonderful menu choices.
We went for lunch. We tried food from the Restaurant Week menu. Some of us tried the beet salad, chicken salad, pasta, beef, and tiramisu. Everything we had was delicious. The beef was tender and moist.
We have been many times and are never disappointed. The food is delicious. Service is good and all the staff are very friendly. Really enjoyed the rabbit. My wife's whole branzino was super tasty. Looking forward to our next visit.
My husband and I had a great time. We simply LOVED the garlic bread. It's a must when you dine in. We also ordered the crab fritters which were divine as well. For pasta I had the cacio e peppe and he ordered the parpadelle 3 meats.
We had a reservation at Café Tiramisu for 6:30 PM, but unfortunately, there was a parade happening nearby, making parking difficult. Wanting to be courteous, I called the restaurant to give them a heads-up that we might be a little late.
From the moment the call was answered, I was met with the most unprofessional and downright rude service I have ever encountered. Before I could even explain, the person on the other end cut me off, snapping that he "can't advise on where to park." The thing is—I never even asked for parking advice! His dismissive and condescending tone completely threw me off, making what should have been a simple courtesy call incredibly frustrating.
At that point, we decided it wasn’t worth it and asked to cancel the reservation, only to be yelled at and told that we couldn’t cancel. He didn’t let me get a word in, wouldn’t listen, and handled the entire situation in the worst way possible.
After reading other reviews mentioning a rude man on the phone, I can’t help but wonder if it’s the same person. Based on this experience alone, I wouldn’t even bother trying to dine here again. Customer service matters, and this place clearly doesn’t value it.

I wanted to share my recent experience at your location.Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. We requested a refill for our tea, which never arrived, and no one checked if I needed another soda. We also weren't asked if we needed anything else. It was noticeable that locals seemed to receive more attentive service, while others were overlooked. This was my second visit; the first was fantastic, but this time, it felt like there was a clear disparity in the treatment of customers. I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the consistency of your service.

The perfect Italian Bistro hidden away on a side street. It was cozy and felt like I was in NYC. Found this place by accident and it ended up being the best place I visited on my trip. The bread is great comes out like a pizza. The pappardelle bolognese was absolutely excellent. I am super picky and specific about pasta and more importantly my sauce this place got it right. We also had dessert, puff pastry stuff with crème and dipped in chocolate sauce. I honestly could have ordered another plate of pasta but didn’t want to overdue it. It will be the first stop I make on my return to SF. Also final note I spoke to the other tables around me as I left and the feeling was mutual it was actually the table next to me that got me excited the women were literally squealing with delight as their food came out! Could not recommend more!

Excellent meal and service in cozy alley space. The octopus appetizer was prepared perfectly -- the best I've had. Whole branzino and tagliatelle bolognese were fantastic, along with dessert and coffee. Exceptional service. Great meal.
Lovely SF institution. Great location. Great food. Great experience team. Really interesting dishes. Many of them are made super fresh so that you can accommodate allergies. Lots of seafood lots of meat. The opportunity to dine inside or outside. The outside seating is good because it's on belden Lane so it's quiet and car free. Easy place to do groups. Patient staff with groups which makes it helpful.
