Great experience overall. The food was tasty and well prepared, the service was friendly, and everything felt smooth from start to finish. Definitely a positive experience and a place I'd happily return to.

First time to this authentic SF Italian eatery. Great little hidden downtown spot with friendly staff and excellent food for the price point. Although it sounded like they were down a bartender the service struggled a bit and we enjoy a leisurely dinner but this one did drag on quite a while before we could pay and leave. I'm guessing it's usually not quite that slow but still at a European dining pace.

Cafe Tiramisu is an absolute gem. Tucked away on trendy Belden Alley, it is a small, inviting restaurant specializing in amazing homemade pastas. It's been open since the early 1990's, surviving the DotCom bust and COVID—an indication of passion and perseverance! We were a group of seven and had a reservation for a late lunch on the day after Christmas. We were warmly greeted and seated at a long table in the main dining area, which has a cozy vibe, decorated with replicas of reliefs from Pompeii. It was busy with families and local business diners alike, so nice to see as the City slowly recovers its downtown/Union Square presence. Appetizers were ordered for the table and they were all delicious; I would say the Carpaccio Veneziano was the standout. My husband and I had the Rigatoni alla Matrigiana and the Fettuccine, Cacio e Pepe, both were delicious. The Cacio e Pepe had the perfect heat from the black pepper, and the homemade Fettuccine soaked up the sauce beautifully; we were even offered more sauce, such a nice touch! They have a nice selection of wines and a full bar. Someone from our party ordered a Manhattan to start and said it was the best he'd had... kudos to the fabulous bartender! A Sicilian white and a Barbera were stand-outs for the wine, pairing beautifully with the pastas. For dessert, we all shared the Tiramisu (of course!), a berry brûlée, and a ricotta pistachio cheesecake that were all delicious. The service was excellent. Our reservation was a bit later in the day, but we were never rushed, and the owner and staff were so attentive. Everyone is jovial, and you feel like you're part of a big family. Thank you, Giuseppe and fabulous staff, for your warm hospitality and a wonderful dining experience. We highly recommend this lovely restaurant!

Wonderful way to start our family weekend in SF. Great food and delightful service. We enjoyed oysters and a shared order of Cacio e Pepe followed but delicious entrees and lovely wine. Highest recommendation for this restaurant

Great place for dinner in the city. You know it's nice and reasonably priced when you see winter formal kids come in. Great food and service.

A lovely restaurant hidden in an alley in FiDi! It is a very small space, but the ambiance and quality of service and food makes it feel bigger. Would come back again to try more of the menu!

Best short ribs I’ve ever had, and I’m an foodie. (It was a special). My wife had one of their homemade pasta dishes and was equally impressed. The lobster escargot appetizer was incredible (no snails - don’t worry. Our waiter was fantastic. He really listened to what we were interested in and gave great recommendations including a wine pairing. The owner checked on us too. 10/10!

I was dining with a long-time friend I hadn't seen in years. We arrived at the restaurant early and were able to talk for hours, partly because of the timing and it beomg a Monday night. The homemade pasta was excellent. The prices were low to average. Belden Place (location of restaurant) seemed pretty run down so it wasn't the cute European-inspired setting I was hoping my out-of-town friend would be impressed by (but again, a Monday night, low activity).

I have been dining here for years and every meal has been a wonderful experience. The food,is always excellent and the staff is attentive no matter how busy they are and as a former European, love the authenticity of the restaurant. I've recommended them to all my friends and clients and I've never gotten a bad review. Love this place!
