I heard this South Park anchor cafe has closed for good. Rushed over and found a sad, but hopeful note on the door. They're trying to figure out how to reopen. Maybe a cooperative? This is a locally owned, one of a kind purveyor of caffeine products, sandwiches, etc., much more beloved than any chain. Guess I'll have to stand by for word of their resurrection.

Very dissapointed after reading such good reciews about this cafe on quiet South Park. First thing as you walk in you are confornted by loud music coming from kitchen, not at all conducive to an eating experience. Menu and drinks selection is very limited, and pricey too. Staff more interested with friends hanging outside than with customers. Food was horrible. Ordered breakfast burrito that consisted of carton egg mix and mushy potatoes, basically a throw away. Hate to say this, but you are netter off going to the Blue Bottle next door!

Delicious sandwiches, good espresso machine, quality service. Also, just the whole vibe they have in South Park is awesome if you haven't been

The food is ok. I ordered a sandwich a while ago and forgot to leave a review. What really turned me off was while taking a break from work, I left to get a drink and decided to come here. The employee was incredibly rude. He acknowledged my presence, but instead of asking what I wanted, he immediately snapped that the kitchen was closed and they were only doing drinks. Honestly, all I came for was a drink, not food. That rudeness turned me off and made me go look for another place to grab a drink. I don't recommend this place.

There are many positive words to describe "Caffe Centro". A few that come to mind are 'quaint', 'relaxing', 'therapeutic'. You can kind of get the picture of where we're going here. And this is on a journey to a little hidden gem in the South Beach area of San Francisco. Conveniently located next to South Park Playground and close to Bryant and 3rd St's, this little place has been serving up big things inside dating back to 2005. To those of you that remember, much of South Beach went through a major revitalization from the early-2000's to late-2010's. And there is still a ton of work and construction being done on a daily basis.Since I was in need of a coffee fix, I came here during the morning of Saturday 4/1/2023 at around 11:20am. Parking (at least on a Saturday) wasn't all that bad but I can imagine is tougher to find during the workweek. The exterior of the building has a light canary yellow color complete with the business name on the awning and several tables/chairs for outdoor seating. The inside of the building offers generous seating, a display case that showcases compact lunches to go, and drinks that include bottled water, sodas, teas, Kombucha, and beer. They do offer a nice offering of sandwiches, salads, bagels, and of course, coffee/espresso drinks. During my visit, I ended up ordering a "DIY Bagel" which included sesame seeds on the bagel complete with cream cheese, alfalfa sprouts, and cucumbers. To drink, I enjoyed a "Blended Mocha" (which was more or less similar to a Frappuccino drink). My +1 went with their "Breakfast Wrap" that included potatoes, eggs, and onions with an "Iced Vanilla Latte". Our drinks were done in just a few minutes while our food came out only a few minutes later.I will say that with the skyrocketing food prices everywhere you go, the prices here were fairly decent as I was able to get filled up on my bagel and drink for around $12 (including tax). The bagel itself was toasted perfectly and as you can see in the photo I took, they did not skimp on the food. I even tried some of the breakfast wrap and man, this thing is loaded with food; enough to fill you up for awhile.Overall, "Caffe Centro" was an above average and enjoyable experience if you're looking for a quieter spot to read, study, or do work on your laptop. They have generous hours of operating being opened Monday through Saturday from 8am-3pm and closed on Sunday. They offer a decent Wi-Fi speed and location-wise, this place is within walking distance to Oracle Park, nearby shopping, and public transportation. With that said and done, I am giving Caffe Centro a 4-star rating.

Just popped in for a quick cappuccino on a cold wet day. The service was quick and friendly and the cappuccino was delicious. Highly recommend.

So thankful this hidden gem of a spot is still open. Wish more of the blue bottle crowd would walk around the corner and enjoy it. Great for lattes or a bite, nice outdoor and indoor seating next to the park.

Perfectly simple. Every cafe in the world should take a hint from places like this:High quality ingredientsCreative menuAttention to detailFair pricesCourteous and attentive staffGood locationThat's really all you need to have people lining up day after day, and Caffe Centro gets it. I went with the ham and swiss, and it was great. The quality of the meat, cheese, bread, vegetables and mustard were all very high, and the sandwich was put together with care and attention. I got a bag of Kettle Chips and a glass of water, and the total came to a bit over $9 with tax. This is the kind of place where you could eat several times per week, and I plan to be back to try more of their sandwiches and salads.

I love this cute little place! Tucked away in the South Park in Soma with outdoor sitting, the place has this cozy and laid back vibe of an European cafe. I like to come here for a bowl of salad, a quick sandwich or coffee and just sit and enjoy the sun. Kale salad with lemon was my favorite. Simple and fresh ingredients that fill your soul. Tomato soup is delicious. I really enjoy the low key and simple vibe. This place is a gem.

Okay coffee spot, my espresso was burnt. I assume that's a one off based on the rest of these reviews. Breakfast food was also just okay, pesto panini was more like an over toasted sub, burnt ends. Staff was mildly interactive, tried to ask questions about the menu since it said "breakfast menu changed" and he stayed quiet and proceeded to grab a clipboard and hang it up in front of me. I doubt I will return here but, again maybe this was a one off experience.
