Accidentally stumbled into this cafe, while waiting for our pizzas to cook in a nearby restaurant. This cafe transport you back to the last century. The decor is very 1960s. The space itself is huge though and has plenty of seats. They also have an outdoor area which is nice on a sunny day. Unfortunately, they don’t accept any form of digital payment, but only cash, but thankfully, they had an ATM on the premises because we did not have any cash. The ATM machine is very expensive, though. I got a regular vanilla latte while my friend got the hazelnut latte, and both of them were pretty good. Was this the best coffee I ever had? No. What is this and perfectly acceptable cup of coffee? Yes. I also had the lemon cake, which was very flavourful, but tad bit expensive. This is a cool place to visit if you’re in the neighbourhood.

To start off, they only accepted cash which we learned the hard way because when we showed our credit card they said no in a very hash manner and pointed at a sign way in the back that said cash only. The good thing is that we had cash. Another problem we had was that we wanted our coffee in a mug which other people had and they had mugs behind the counter, when we ask, they once again got mad at us and said no in an even more rude way. Finally when we got our coffee and sandwiches, we had the most stale bread and uncooked chicken. We ended up throwing it away because the employees were already mad at us for asking for things and didn’t want to get them even more mad at us. I highly recommend to go to another coffee shop.

I was here Saturday 1/18 around 4pm. I ordered a small mocha and a baggie of 4 tiny chocolate dipped macaroons. The total was 22 dollars. I didn't realize til I got down the street that I was clearly scammed. All the pastries were around 6, 8 dollars. I went back and asked why the total came to 22 dollars thinking they make a mistake and the guy told me the macaroons were 17 dollars. What? And he told me that's california prices, like im some tourist who deosntknow any better. Based on your prices this was outrageous. Only cash and no receipts either. Idk who this should be reported to but I'll find out and be giving them a call. You guys are a scam. Not even a sandwich cost 17 dollars.

Just an FYI this place does not have wifi. They'll say they do and show you a password but password doesn't work/ there must be a different password for it (they say its a problem with the internet but wifi connectivity issues should be different from a password issue, l believe).

I don’t usually take the time to leave negative reviews, but my experience at Caffe Greco in Little Italy really left me disappointed and ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant outing.

We initially walked by and thought it was a cute little café with a European vibe, so we decided to stop in after reading reviews that mentioned their cannoli. Unfortunately, they didn’t have tiramisu (which we originally wanted), so we opted for the cannoli, chocolate cake, almond biscotti, and two coffees. Everything was okay at best—the almond biscotti was the standout if I had to pick one.

What really soured the experience was the poor service. Before leaving, I walked up to the counter and politely asked, “Can I get some water, please?” One of the staff members filled a paper cup but, as he handed it to me, he said, “Next time you ask, say please.” I was shocked, as I did say “please.” When I told him so, he shook his head with an attitude and gave me a look that was so dismissive it completely ruined the mood of my day.

I understand that service staff deal with a lot, but there’s no excuse for being rude to customers, especially when the interaction starts with politeness. I generally avoid leaving negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share this because it was such an unnecessary and unpleasant moment that left a bad taste in my mouth—more than any of the food we had.

This store SCAMMED me! COUNT YOUR TOTAL!
I ordered a Belgium waffle for ~$13 + $3 for toppings, and 2 regular cappuccino’s for ~ $5 each, and they OVER CHARGED ME with a total of $44!!!
Should be under $30 easy! I was thinking back to it and realized this after the fact :(

Stopped in for breakfast. Good coffee, good waffle. Egg sandwich and panini were odd. Scrambled eggs and cheese with turkey came with a slice of cold deli meat between the hot eggs and hot muffin. Weird. Egg panini was made with sliced hard-boiled eggs that were severely over-cooked (yolks were more green than orange.) good bread and melty cheese, but the egg component was an odd choice.

The affogato was the worst I’ve ever had. The straccitella was okay. It had pieces of something that looked like fruit. The lemon cake was amazing though.

CASH ONLY!!!
I wanted to grab a coffee, but it didn’t work out. A “CASH ONLY” sign always makes me think that the café might be avoiding taxes by not accepting card payments, which ultimately feels like they’re being dishonest with both the government and their customers. It’s very disappointing to see places like this.
