The carne e funghi and parmigiana di pollo were excellent. The spumoni sundae and tiramisu were absolutely delightful. We made reservations and were seated within 5 minutes of our time. Our server, Louis was very hospitable, knowledgeable, and patient... we would ask for him again. He was an excellent waiter, but it appeared he was holding down the fort that night. Maybe they were shorthanded the night we went, but aside from Louis taking our orders (drinks, entrees, dessert) the majority of the service was provided by a number of people and it was s-l-o-w to the point of being laughable. We asked for a spoon to help twirl the pasta and were handed an industrial size serving spoon. I hope this was a one-off, but it was the first time at Caffé Sport for all of us, so that was our first impression. My recommendation is yes, definitely go for the amazing food. But be patient.

Went there for early dinner. It was delicious! We’re greeted with fresh sliced bread and some kind of zesty tomato sauce, Parmesan and chili flakes. Also water before ordering. Had a glass of Merlot and one of the prosecco rose, the second one was very fresh. For dinner we had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and the pizza (half pepperoni & half verdure). Pasta was nice and creamy and served with plenty of shrimp. The pizza was really tasty, very fresh pizza dough. Highly recommended, will be coming back soon.

If you're going to take people's money for online orders then make the food. And don't tell the company The courier picked it up when you didn't make it at all and told the courier you don't do business with Uber anymore. Very shady business practice to take people's money and not make the food.

Savory Sicilian food in San Francisco. The Pomodoro Bruschetta was delicious. I recommend it. For the main, I had the lasagna which was also good. Next time I am going to order a pizza - the one at a nearby table looked very appetizing. Elliott, our server was friendly, efficient and professional.

I am writing to share a disappointing experience at Cafe Sport on August 30, 2025. Our visit began with no greeting or acknowledgment from staff, and the service remained inconsistent and unfriendly throughout the meal. Specifically:
- We were not greeted or attended to in a timely and consistent manner from the moment we entered. - When we needed basic items (a slice of lemon, silverware, napkins), requests were not acknowledged promptly or were ignored. - Water or other actions at the table were mishandled (for example, there was a moment where water was thrown at the table) without any apology or support. - Attempts to place an order or obtain service were met with unresponsiveness, and staff did not appear consistently available. - Silverware was brought from the bar area in a way that raised concerns about cleanliness and sanitation.
The bill for our visit was $75, and we left a 25% tip based on that amount. What I want in any visit to Cafe Sport is simple: consistently friendly, attentive service, and responsiveness from the staff throughout the entire dining experience. This expectation was not met during our visit, and it detracted from what should have been an enjoyable experience at an Italian restaurant.
We visited here for a lunch on a Saturday, we sat outside. The wife and I are from out of town. The food was delicious the atmosphere is unique inside and out. The service could have been a bit more welcoming and consistent. No smiles and bubbling personality. The bread and dip took a while to make it to our table however a few tables away came out shortly after the family was seated. The food was freshly made and came out hot. You can taste the ingredients. The flavors all blended well. Overall great food and value of the money. We enjoyed the meatballs as a side the chicken parmesan and the carne de fundi.

This place was amazing. I went here for my birthday with my sister and along entering they were very welcoming and friendly. The environment gives off a friendly old Italian vibe and the staff are wonderful. After we were seated I ordered a salad and a pizza which were incredibly delicious and some of the best pizza in San Francisco. We had told the staff when we entered it was my birthday but I had no idea they would go out of their way for free to make me a birthday cake after our meal and sing happy birthday to me by surprise in the restaurant. It made the night oh so much more special and I would highly recommend going to their restaurant. Also all the food is reasonably priced and not expensive at all in comparison to other pizza restaurants in the area.
