The place has changed! I've been coming here for over 35 years. We have not been back since COVID 2019. The portions were half as large, the flavor was lack luster, the five slices of egg plant were undercooked, and the pasta was non existent. The fried calamari was over fried. So sad we will not be coming back here again. Service was great food not so much!

We ordered 6 different pasta dishes and every one was inedible. We literally left our plates of food half eaten. The waiter noticed and gave us a $7 discount. The garlic bread was good and the bread sauce was also good. But $25-$30 per plate of inedible pasta? This restaurant used to be so good... Not sure what happened over the years.

Tried this spot for the first time and we sat outside! I must start off and say that the service was really great! The two gentlemen that assisted our table were super friendly, made jokes with us, and recommended dishes. We got the mussels, oysters and a pink sausage pasta. I thought the food was really good - the mussels were very flavorful and came with a healthy amount. I am a big penne alla vodka sauce fan which is why I ordered the pasta dish and thought it was a good dish. It was a solid dish and a good creamy sauce. The dessert was a little interesting as it was ricotta with honey and berries. I would definitely return to this spot!!

Great authentic food, our 3 dishes ( lasagna, and 2 pasta dishes) were amazing, well seasoned, cooked to perfection, the waiter and bartender were excellent, the bread and house sause starter was so so delicious, the ambiance was friendly as well as efficient, highly recommend this restaurant, they also have wines, desserts and coffee to finish your dinning on a great note.

Why is everything in this place so tasty!! Friend suggested this place as she had been her with her guy for a valentines dinner. I can't believe I've lived in the Bay Area all this time and never been to Caffe Sport. It was a Friday night so I called around 6:30 and got us a table for 7:15. Took less than a minute to talk to the person and get a confirmation text. We got there a few mins after 7:15 and were seated after they got a table ready for us. The sauce they serve with their bread should be labeled addictive, it's just so good. We ordered the salad with strawberries, candied walnuts and cheese. Delish!!! For mains we got penne with pesto, fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and spaghetti aglio olio with shrimp. And I SWEAR I haven't had pasta this good in a very long time. Each dish had its own unique flavor and I had a hard time deciding which of the dishes was better than the others. What a tasty problem to have. I loved that they set a jar each of pepper flakes and cheese on the table, so you can have as much cheese as you want. Also I got the house white wine which was a perfect Chardonnay. We didn't get any dessert but I'm sure it's probably really good here as well. Staff were quick and friendly, and the main guy was so jovial and nice to deal with. If you want to visit out an old timey place without traveling to a European country, then check out their restrooms. It's like stepping into a place in Rome. Such a vibe. Can't wait to go back and try everything !

Came to Caffe Sport on Valentine's Day and had a great time! We were seated right away. Ordered the sangria, it was delicious. The Lambrusco was also delicious. The free bread and dip were amazing. The place was decorated so cutely! I believe the owner/manager said it took two days to complete. We really loved it. The maximalism is so charming and they really went all out with the details. The food was delicious as well. Overall 10/10, will definitely be coming back. See y'all soon, Caffe Sport!

First time back in over 15 years. Excited to be back cuz we lucky had good parking a block away. We were only customer there. Sad...I order 2 drinks, but 1 came out to no carbonation in it, guess why he didn't charge. Combo linguine came out n I looked at the shrunk portion, but seafood perfectly cooked, but the pasta was sort of undercooked.. also ordered fried seafood combo , order sort of shrunk also. For the prices u paid hmmm not worth.. I remembered love the sauce came with bread. We would eat baskets full. Today the sauce was little off of the taste. Not as flavorful as before. Anyway the service is ok..gave 18% tips.. but we won't go out our way to come eat again..

Super nice place and excellent food and service. The people there are super nice and they treatment it’s a five start. We were a party of 6 and decided to seat outside in the street in the cover areas. The area had a heated so it wasn’t cold. We were celebrating an engagement and everyone was very attentive and cheering. We definitely going back on our next trip to San Francisco. This restaurant it’s located in the famous Little Italy.
