This is a small bakery that has a nice assortment of pastries. This is a nice spot to get donuts or a croissant. Service is good but they can get busy and it gets packed at times.

Pretty decent donuts though some were a little too sweet.

OMG WHAAAT. So glad I was starving and stumbled in here before I hit up Safeway. Oh my goodness, the tofu bahn mi was really delicious and fresh. Toasted to perfection and just hit all the yessss boxes for me. It didn't stop there, I got the beef curry pastry and oh dear god. I'm dreaming about that. I live in the inner Richmond and was on my way home from Daly City so I don't typically come around here but I'm going to make an excuse to just hit up this bakery. Donut was super good too.

I really rate this myself as a 3.5. Nothing wrong with it. Fresh, friendly. What nudged it to a 4 was all the police fitting into their stereotype, eating doughnuts. I found it on the Toogoodtogo app. It located about a block of the 28 bus stop and boy, Taravel is alot further south than I thought it was. It is across from the Safeway, and when I was there, there was major street construction going on. The L line now stops at West Portal and you have to take the L bus. That is a hassle. If I was in the area and wanted traditional doughnuts, I'd come here. I guess I was hoping, since someone said it was a Vietnamese bakery, they might have something a little different. Very good traditional doughnuts but nothing that I can't get in my neighborhood. If you live in the area, support local businesses. That area is TORN UP!

Mom and pop owned bakery. A ton of variety both sweet and savory. They were so nice here and answered all the questions we had. I enjoyed the beef curry pate chaud and the chicken and veggies empanada

The Vietnamese sandwiches are pretty good, I had the grilled pork and a grilled chicken. My only recommendation not to put mayonnaise in the sandwich. The people are very friendly. I also had a Vietnamese coffee, it was delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Excellent Vietnamese iced coffee, the pies, banh mi and savory pastries are to die for. Lovely staff and owners! I don't even live in this neighbor I travel all the way from Potrero Hill to have their delicious pastries!!!

The pork banh mi is my absolute favorite and they don’t skimp on the meat. The service is great and they are so friendly. I always look forward to going to california bakery whenever I’m back home in SF.

If you have any FOOD allergy then stay away. They don’t understand or even try to understand your concerns.

My husband and I were craving Banh Mi sandwiches in our new neighborhood...he randomly found this place on Yelp, and I'm so glad we did. Wow, I can't believe this used to be Victor's Bakery back in the day (insert tear faced emoji here). RIP. Anyway, we got banh mi's for lunch here!! They were terrific!!!! I loved my grilled pork one. My husband got the combo, and loved his too. It only took about 10 mins for them to make the sandwiches - amazing. A little more on the expensive side, I think $8 for the sandwich, but worth every penny. Can't wait to try their other items soon!!!

Banh Mi is legit here. $9 is a little steep but it's signs of the times. I'm glad another bakery owner took over this spot after the other OG Chinese bakery closed down.

The place is legit, their pastry are large and fresh, staff are friendly. The only complaint is parking, there are no parking in front of the store and it is sometimes hard to find parking around for picking up a couple of pastries. I guess it is convenient if you take the L car. They have a large variety of pastries, my favorite is the Apple fritters. The store is clean and they close at 5:30 pm.

Really delicious pastries. It’s a low key local spot but it has pate chaud (Vietnamese pork pie in puff pastry) which was insanely good! We also had apple turnover and beef curry pastry which were delicious. Highly recommend, and the service was really nice too!

I have never seen this place but a friend recommended it to me. Very clean and open place w many different options. From breakfast items to lunch to even dinner options. I ordered a combo banh mi! It was so good! They added a lot of meat which I liked and have noticed other places not doing anymore. I wish it had a little less patte but that is just my preference. I like to be able to taste the rest of the ingredients. They have a kiosk along with a register so the service was fast. Cash or card here. Anywho, will be coming back and ordering more items!!!

Very strong and delicious Vietnamese coffee! Sandwiches were also tasty and they're very speedy at making them. We ordered from door dash and went to pick up on our way to a hike-- unfortunately they didn't see the entire order so started making the rest of the sandwiches after we got there but we still got everything (2 additional sandwiches to the one that was ready and a Vietnamese coffee) within 10 minutes. The woman at the counter apologized about the delay and was very friendly! Looked like a great neighborhood family run business worth supporting.
