This spot is really good. Japanese yakiniku off of Geary. The quality of the meat is very tasty—you don’t even need the sauces! Staff are really attentive and nice too
Well marinated meats and a good grilling experience. Hidden gem in the Geary corridor. Be sure to order the mushroom medley or the Asian greens medley.

Great bbq place in SF. The host is very nice and introduced me all kinds of meat on menu, and since I came only myself, I chose the kalbi chuck, ox tongue, squid and mix vege. Great size for one person! And really delicious. Love the meat and vege
Chip and dip is legit
Good food
Good food and friendly service!
Very good prices, excellent ventilation, great service. Feels a little like Japan. Would like an option for ginger scallion oil.
I really enjoyed Camp BBQ. The restaurant vibe is “Japanese camping trip bbq”, and it's clear the owner has put a lot of thought and care into capturing that look and feel. The food is standard yakiniku fare, with an emphasis on Kobe beef. Everything I got was very good. I went on a Thursday night, and there was barely anyone there, so I feel like Camp BBQ is definitely underrated at the moment.
Quality meat, nice restaurant interior. Below average service, to say the least. Very small portions. Took very long to place orders and receive our meat to grill, despite not being busy at all on a Friday night. Most likely will not visit again.

Great selection of meats and veggies that you grill yourself ala Korean bbq but without banchan side dishes. Quality of meat is very good. Smaller portions allow you to sample many different meats and preparations.
It is now one of my favorite restaurants in SF!!!! It was very authentic Japanese yakiniku! The food was excellent, the staff were all super nice and polite, and it was surprisingly very reasonable for the food quality! Coming from Japan, I was hoping to find more authentic Japanese restaurants, and this place really impressed me. Japanese yakiniku is a fun meal option for kids, families and friends! You cook your own meat as you eat. Please try if you've never done it before. :) I could NOT believe the restaurant was empty for Friday night though. I guess people don't know about this place or people hesitate to go to the restaurant due to COVID... if so, the restaurant was very well prepared for safety with a clear curtain for each table with lots of space in between the tables etc, and I hope that my review would bring a lot more people!!!
My family loved Camp BBQ. The food was delicious and the service was great. Wish they open for lunch during weekends too! :)
OMG -- what a find! I was looking for something near UCSF that was open later and we were so glad to find this little treasure. Fun to cook our own choices at the table and it was delicious!
