People who rate this less than five stars need to have their taste buds checked. Stumbled in there after a long day and had the best chicken quesadilla of my LIFE. Nothing fancy about it -- just really good Mexican food. Reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. And the woman who took our orders was so nice and helpful. I think this is my first Google review but I had to leave it because I can't understand why this place isn't mobbed all the time!!! No notes.

The food is hands down the most authentic and delicious Mexican food I’ve had in a long time—every dish tastes like it was made with tradition, love, and pride. This is my favorite Mexican and Latin food restaurant in the Haight-Ashbury! I think it's a hidden gem! They have excellent breakfast options, including pancakes and French toast, excellent menu options including vegetarian options and hamburgers. They are very flexible with special requests. I'm vegetarian and I love their spinach and mushroom enchiladas, their hot chocolate is delicious and their coffee very good. My friends love their tamales, seafood and meat dishes. The staff, specially Ileana and the Chef Victor, are excellent! I highly recommend it!

This is going to be my new go to place! I ordered a barbacoa torta, and it was the best one I ever had. The bread was so soft yet crunchy at the same time. My friend got a quesadilla and taco and was very happy with her meal. Their brunch menu looked amazing so definitely coming back again for that. Definitely give this new place to Haight a shot!
