I ordered a basic cocktail because it was so busy over super bowl weekend. I ordered a vodka tonic, it was served warm? tonic not chilled and kinda flat. The bar can't do a good job on basic drink? Popular place. loved it in college. Bartender needs a refresher course.

I came to Casanova over the weekend and one of my friends accidentally left their glasses behind. I came back tonight on the 24th at 7:56 PM to help them out because they live all the way in Manteca. It is not easy for them to come back and they even told me the bar never answers the phone.
When I got here tonight I asked the bartender if any glasses were turned in. He said he would check the lost and found after he served the drink he was making. I waited while he finished the drink, which took longer than it should have because he kept stopping to socialize with people at the bar. After waiting, three people walked in behind me and he went straight to them and asked what they wanted. I reminded him about the lost glasses and he told me he was helping them first because they were paying customers.
That did not sit right with me because the whole reason my friend left the glasses here is because they were paying customers too. It felt like he brushed my request off and now I am worried that because I spoke up, he is going to throw the glasses away or claim they never found them, even though we know for a fact we left them on the table.
Bad service tonight and not the way a regular customer should be treated.

Great spot. Always a solid mixed crowd. Chill environment and way less of a frat party then the marina they have my favorite drink on their menu! Hope they never get rid of the paper planes. While the wait can be a thing I’m fine with it when the drinks are always very good and the prices are right for this quality, def keeps me coming back

This is a really cool place. Great drinks and good service. Randomly stumbled upon this place during a walkabout. I believe that I will return.
I come to this bar pretty often since i moved here from Utah and have had only positive experiences until today. The bouncer took my ID and my friend’s ID and claimed one of us wasn’t getting our ID’s back because of different designs even threatening to go grab the cops. After a couple minutes of back and forth just asking for our IDs back he finally gives us our ID’s back and tells us not to come back with that shit. Total incompetence and really disappointing for a spot I've shown so many friends.

I’ve frequented Casanova over the past decade, but after what happened last night, I am going to strongly suggest my friends never revisit this bar again.
I accidentally left my tab open at the bar, but figured I could pick it up my card today. This morning I woke up to a series of fraudulent transactions on my card in East Bay. I’m unclear if my physical card was stolen from the bartender or if it was skimmed, but it is clear that it is not secure to use your card at this establishment.

I cozy watering hole. Love the lighting and horseshoe bar. My advice: have a set recipe for the margaritas. One bartender nailed it. A different bartender missed the marg.
