May 2025 Very well laid out airport lounge for a US airport
The food though limited is well represented. The noodle bar is justly recommended. No dimsum options.
The service staff were very efficient
The layout is well planned
I liked the local periodical options
Shower rooms available by request
Though modest by international standards, still easily the best lounge in SFO. Priority Pass is for the most part useless for SFO Intl travel so having access to Cathay was a welcome sight.
The noodle bar is as advertised - one of the yummiest meals you can get at the airport.
Bathroom is large and fully equipped with everything you need for pre-flight needs.
There is no a la carte ordering with the exception of the noodle bar so other than that it’s whatever’s available at the buffet. Thankfully since the Cathay Lounge runs limited hours, the food is usually fresh.
The lounge is on the 4th floor so it is one above the departure level. When you exit security, there is an entryway for multiple loungea towards your left (see included pic). There are escalators and elevators there to take you to the 4th floor.
The lounge itself is nice with all the amenities you would expect from a full service lounge. The staff is excellent. It is about on par with the Amex Centurion lounge, but it is much closer to the A gates.
Margaret has been great help!! After many issues with my flight, she made sure my boarding pass was fixed and she came over twice to check everything was ok. Also Kinsey and Brenda were very friendly and helpful through out all. Lastly, they have an amazing noodles station everyone should give it a go. Great lounge overall!
Very delicious food, good service

SFO CX lounge finally reopened after all these years of senseless lockdown and travel restriction. lounge is moderately size but well equipped and well staffed. noodle bars and standard cold plates are expected. there are showers, and whole array of local wines selection. really feel like back to Hong Kong before the plane even takes off!

They have food and showers. Hot food is only available when Cathay flights are departing/arriving so something to note if you’re flying another one world partner. The wonton noodle soup is the best out of all the hot food offerings. The Dan dan noodles, if they use the same recipe as the Cathay lounge at heathrow, is bad (although I didn’t try it at sfo). Staff are very nice and service is fantastic. The sandwiches and other cold food offerings didn’t look so appetizing (British airways lounge is better for these)
I love the Cathay lounges world wide! They are always filled with wonderful staff; people who really smile and absolutely make the experience! This lounge is another shining example. Thank you for being you!

Lovely setting and nice food
refreshed and ready to go home
As far as oneworld emerald comparisons go, the Cathay lounge is no good. Poor food options, very limited quantity of food, unhelpful staff etc... looks to be the best you will get at SFO, but do not get your hopes up about the lounge.
Spacious, and with good food.
Adequate.
