We had an amazing experience at Chisai! From the food, to the service, to the atmosphere everything was great! We will definitely be back!
We had chisai and oki omakase and some a la carte. Some nigiri were too fatty/creamy for me but that’s probably because I enjoy the original simple sushi flavors more. If you enjoy American style sushi, you will love it here!!
Excellent omakase experience, especially for the price point! Favorites of the night: scallop with foie gras, seared salmon nigiri, salmon ceviche temaki, and the A5 wagyu uni blue cheese nigiri. Loved our experience!!
I had a lovely meal here, the service was wonderful. The nigiri were unique, each having a slight wrinkle that would make me think, “what was that?”. In terms of absolute deliciousness it was good, but not breathtaking. If I could give an honest review it would be a 4.5star
Great experience. Food was amazing amazing, the nigiri was all unique and superb. Atmosphere is so lovely and service also wonderful.
Do not recommend the vegan tasting option. Everything is either drowned in sauce or amazingly boring. Go to Shizen instead for actually good vegan sushi and nigiri.
Best Omakase in town.

The most incredible, unique food experience I’ve had in a while. The vegan omasake was exquisite and transformative. What a treasure of quality this restaurant is.
Vegetarian options: The most exquisite high quality vegan / vegetarian dishes in the country. Such an intimate experience.

The most reasonably priced omakase menu I've ever tried, and also among the best. Highly recommend. Get the oki.

This is a hidden gem in the mission. It was my first time this past weekend. We were celebrating a birthday. The staff was so kind to greet the celebrant happy birthday. The fish is amazingly fresh. The chefs are true sushi masters and really put a lot of love into their food. There is no skimping on quality and perfection here. This is an omakase style sushi place. They do have vegan options as well. I like how they do accommodate people's dietary restrictions. The vibe of the restaurant is casual yet classy. I recommend sitting at the bar to get the full omakase experience but tables are available for bigger groups. I can't wait to try this place again.
Vegetarian options: There is a whole vegetarian omakase experience.
Parking: We parked in Safeway across the street but you can find paid and free parking in the neighborhood.
Kid-friendliness: I'd say unless your kid is paitent, a true foodie, and loves sushi don't take them here.
