Really high quality vegan sushi. I love that instead of leaning on alternatives (like vegan fish / fake meat), they opt to elevate vegetables and tofu using a wide selection of flavors. I’d recommend going for happy hour as there’s a wide variety of choices you get to pick from for only $20. Service was excellent - our waitress was very helpful and kept our glasses full. She also described some cool details of how sake is made and some of the differences in the production process that determine the sweetness of a sake. I have been at least four times now and each have been a memorable experience, highly recommend going! All of their menu is great but I’d recommend the kabocha squash roll, the kitsune soup, the cha-ya roll, agadashi tofu, and black sesame mochi for dessert. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-30

I haven't been here in a million years, but I used to quite like this place. It seems that the prices have raised a lot but otherwise pretty much the same menu, so here goes: Much of the food is very bland. This is Japanese temple food, it's not necessarily aiming to blow your socks off. With that said, I used to really like the mushroom noodle soup, as it was flavorfull and filling without being heavy. I also loved the avocado maki and the eggplant maki, at least back then they were generous with the avocado portions and the eggplant was really nicely seasoned. The tempura was really nice too.

- Kitsune soba noodle bowl - 9/10 great. Kitsune was a little too sweet though. - Natto small roll - 8.5/10 great Solid place with a lot of healthy options, peaceful atmosphere, and fully plant-based!

Everything we ate and drank was amazing here! We had the sake flight, cha ya roll, cha ya rice bowl, eggplant roll, starlight roll and a salad. The cha ya roll was definitely my favorite, the presentation was fantastic and the women who served us were so sweet and knowledgeable! We brought our non-veg gluten free friends and they loved everything too. We will definitely go back next time we’re in town!

Family seating, amazing food that warms the heart and body. Easy to find fully vegan with the menu. Staff is more than happy to answer questions, even when trying to figure out which direction a cab might pick up from

This cozy, family-run restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is incredible—seriously, you have to try it. Their Gyoza, Inari Sushi, and Sansai Noodles are my personal favorites. Plus, they have amazing Happy Hour deals on Saturdays and Sundays! The staff is also the sweetest and makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I may be biased because this was my first time trying sushi but it was amazing!

I went here with some local friends who recommended it and it didn't disappoint! Everything on the menu being vegan was a huge plus, and the food we had was outstanding! Definitely highly recommended and my favourite place in SF so far!
