Place has been here a long time, it's welcoming and the staff are friendly.
The food is decent especially for the area which is just a ton of tourist trap food.
It could be cleaner but honestly it's minor.
Only real issue is price, which you should be expecting to pay in SOMA if you want cheaper food you will be taking a 20-30 min walk. So it is fair.

Hello,
Honestly, my experience at this restaurant was bad. I waited more than 20 minutes until the waiter came and gave me the menu, and threw it on the table without any greeting. I tried to order some dishes, but he was not helpful at all. He didn't ask me if I wanted spicy food or not. I would not advise anyone to visit this restaurant unless there are other options nearby.

Ordered goat biryani, goat curry and masala dosa. All were good. Goat curry had a touch of Bengal. Biryani was stir fry style. Dosa had good thickness and crisp and cut into 4 pieces, chutney and sambhar were also good. Portions were good.
Service was great, spoke Bengali with the hostess.
Also got samosas.
Great that they have a grocery store in there.

Worst food experience in US. I ordered kadhai chicken it was boiled chicken in water with under cooked veggies. Rasmalai was watery milk. Never going to order again.

Had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff member, Ali, was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. He spoke disrespectfully to guests and even to his fellow employees. It was clear that he had no understanding of how to serve customers properly. A restaurant should provide a welcoming and professional atmosphere, but unfortunately, Ali's behavior made the experience unpleasant. Management seriously needs to address this issue. Would not recommend until they improve their service standards.

I did not like their coconut chutney and dosa.
The chutney is more water and less coconut. It also tasty more "tangy". The red chutney was marginally better. But I'm not coming back for them again. The dosa itself was very thin and light. The filing was not spicy, they must've toned down the spice for American tastes which is sad.
The other dishes I had were good. I also liked their biryani.
They have a grocery store inside but the employees are too busy at the restaurant to help you find what you need. I couldn't find Saffron, custard powder, and milk powder. The guy at the counter simply said that "if I don't find it myself it's probably not there".
Too summarize, try to avoid their south Indian dishes. I'm definitely coming back for biryani, and Chinese items.

I contracted gastritis the evening after visiting Chaat Corner for lunch. I can't say it was the cause, but I can definitely say it surely didn't help.
Also, I've heard rumors that their staff don't receive any of tips left by patrons, which is disheartening (possibly illegal?)

Went there yesterday during the lunch time and got the worst food poisoning in my entire life. The dishes were not bad, but it definitely didn’t worth the things I experienced after. I finished my meal and immediately felt some sharp pain in my stomach. By the way, I did not even finish the whole meal. In 6 hours after that, I felt the worst pain ever on top of non stopping sickness and high fever that did not stop until morning. Want to stress out that I did not eat anything before I went to this place, so I have no doubt that the reason is the food that I ordered here. I am was very scared and now I’m very disoriented. Never gonna go there again.
