Great space, great drinks, limited but well-executed menu and consistent, attentive service. Pricey.

For a trendy, romantic, or multipurpose night out, you can't go wrong with this rooftop view of SF. We did not try the food, although we did try the cocktails, which were great! But with privilege comes price and well sometimes one can balk at that but otherwise it was a worthy visit!

We visited Charmaine's last night and really enjoyed the rooftop experience. The fire pit and city views created such a great atmosphere, and the weather made it perfect for a quiet night out. Our server, Enriquez, was fantastic—friendly and engaging with just the right amount of conversation. The food was delicious, though the portions were small and the menu a bit limited. The biggest drawback was the location. Being right by the Tenderloin made the walk around the area feel a little unsafe, and parking was very difficult to find. Unfortunately, the surroundings took away from the overall vibe of the restaurant. While I loved the rooftop itself, this might be a first and last visit.

Absolutely amazing location! Old Fashions were fantastic, snacks were great, views were breathtaking. Highly recommended for rooftop options in SF

Charmaine's is hands-down one of the best rooftop bars I've ever been to. The vibe is unbeatable – chic yet welcoming, with a lively energy that makes you want to stay all night. The views are absolutely stunning, giving you the perfect backdrop of the city whether you're catching the sunset or enjoying the night lights. The cocktails are crafted with real care – balanced, creative, and delicious. Every drink feels like a little experience on its own. The staff deserves special recognition too: attentive, friendly, and genuinely making sure you're having the best time possible without ever feeling rushed. It's the kind of place that works for everything: a fun night out with friends, a date spot with an unforgettable setting, or even just treating yourself to a well-deserved evening above the city. Charmaine's nails it on every level. Can't recommend it enough – 10/10, I'll definitely be coming back!

Great place. Fantastic views. Love the outdoor firepits on a chilly night. Great place to take visitors to the city. A bit pricy on some things but you're also paying for the views!

Love this place! My bf and I grabbed drinks here to end the night of our 2 year and anniversary and it was lovely. 10/10 cocktails! Will be returning and bringing friends to chat as we sip cocktails w an amazing view of the city in front of a fire pit!

Excellent rooftop experience with a great staff. The bartender Wemerson in particular is amazing; he knows how to make amazing drinks and he is very friendly and knowledgeable!

Come for the view, stay for Wemerson’s Old Fashioned.

This rooftop lounge nails it — chic vibe, great energy, and just the right mix of classy and laid-back. But the real star is Wemerson behind the bar. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive. His Old Fashioned is the reason I keep coming back — smooth, complex, and full of character. Ask for his version with the chocolate bitters and thank me later… it’s unforgettable.

Outstanding service and tasty food. Very much the lounge atmosphere with comfy seating. We sat in a bistro table that facilitated eating better for us. Cool hotel even if in sketchy area of SF. Felt very secure.

Great vibes! Drinks a good and ambience is what you're paying for. Not the food, which is bland at best.

Service at the bar was great! The food is yummy, good value! Just don't expect gourmet (as in "extraordinary") food.

We are repeat customers at Charmaine's 3-4 times per year. Lovely space and views. Amazing place to go with a group, and bring your wallet. Great pre-theater spot for Orpheum and Golden Gate Theater

Good cocktails, nice ambiance, slow service, and awful food. I would go back, but only for cocktails. In particular, the Big Cat.
