Great restaurant. Fantastic pizza. Only con was how they give you a time limit in your dinner hour which is bizarre. They let us know how many minutes we had which sets a strange tone if you are dining out.

Alimentari never disappoints. Staff is warm and engaging and the food is always delicious. We invariably order way too much, but love getting to enjoy leftovers the next day. It's our neighborhood favorite - there just aren't enough accolades!

Loved the service. Food was delicious, well made and nicely flavoured. The aglio e olio was a little too lemony for our taste (but nice nonetheless), the margarita pizza was perfect. Would definitely recommend the focaccia bread.

Excellent service with very high standards and care but overall experience was average. Not inclined to return given other dining options but my boyfriend had their early girl dinner pre fixe previously and loved it. They don’t offer that anymore. We got two pasta dishes. They were quality made but just not as good comparatively. The focaccia was amazing. The wines were good but the pours were tiny. Outdoor seating didn’t keep the wind out and the heat lamp wasn’t strong enough. It wasn’t a particularly cold day either. The 10% dining in charge is extremely awkward.Probably not a repeat experience for me but want to say again that I did appreciate the knowledgeable and gracious service.

Would recommend they tell people in advance that tables for 2 are booked for one hour only. Food delicious. Service fabulous. Drinks perfect. BUT was very jarring to have to eat in 1 hour and be told the table was turning half way through our pizza.

Overall the menu did not seem to hang together well. Dishes were over-seasoned & salty causing taste fatigue. Too many dishes with prosciutto. No chicken or fish options but lots of pork & processed meats; I had indigestion after bed because of high fat meal, had to take Tums. Even the bread was oily, served with mascarpone high fat cheese. Where were the vegetables? Really just one salad option that wasn't over powered by processed meats. Not for people who like “clean eating” or fresh food. Then the wine list was also a bit too obscure with several that had rose water taste. It's cool to have some options that are interesting but not balanced enough with good go to options.

They have you on a stopwatch. You are informed in the menu - a party of two has just 60 minutes to eat before they want your table. And they treat you like you are being timed. Restaurants are under financial pressure certainly- but the prices here are high to very high and the prices don't include the 10 percent they add automatically (which is not a tip). Unless you want to pay a premium to eat in a rush - avoid this place.

Delicious, elevated Italian food in an inviting, non-fussy atmosphere. Can't wait to go back (again and again).Be sure to start with the focaccia. ?

No fault to the staff - the couple sitting at the table before us stayed way past 60 minutes and so we were seated at 8:45 instead of our 8:15 reservation. I'm pregnant so was getting a little annoyed at all the standing but as soon as we were seated and started working with our server, the night was turned around! Food was outstanding, service was amazing. It wasn't our first time, but it was the best meal we've had there so far! 10/10 we'll be back soon.

We arrived to an empty restaurant w a 1 hr time limit and a 10% charge for eating in. Instructed that everything is to be ordered at once. We specifically requested the pizza be served first then pasta and salad. The meal was served in completely the reverse. The waiter & manager were Sorry, Sorry, Sorry. but the place had filled up and what was done was done. Except for the glass of wine spilled in my lap while they were clearing plates. Beyond that it was an enjoyable evening

Everything was amazing. We had the 4 cheese pizza, the rigatoni, the chilled red wine. My date was an Italian San Francisco native and was highly impressed. We sat at the counter at the end of the kitchen which was fun to watch. Overall it was a perfect meal for a super rainy cold night.

Every bite of our meal was incredible. I brought my son who loves Italian and I always tell him how much better Italian food is in Italy and how we'll go someday. But the food and choices here came so close, we can put that trip off a little longer. The pizza was everything he dreamed of and more. The service from the host to the chef was just as good as the food. Can't wait to come back!

Service, while friendly, was absent, inattentive and slow. It took ages just to get water, and a solid 30 minutes from being seated to receive a drink, before even ordering. And, I have to call out the service charge "to help us be profitable". Raise the prices and manage your costs (i.e. manage your business efficiently) to find the right balance; but adding a flat surcharge just offended.

Any time I think I've gotten good at cooking pasta, a visit to Che Fico Alimentari humbles me. The pasta dishes are straight out of Rome and served in their cozy dining room in Divis. The hosts and waitstaff are always A+.
