Waited an hour or more to get my food seems like they’re more interested in to go orders rather than customers dining in. Overall experience 3/10 based off what i heard and seen these people force customers for tips careful when dining in at this place!

Classic SF hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Not dirty or sticky, just unassuming. Great food. I love their fish dishes!

Friendly Northern China cuisine. Basil Chicken Fried Rice and braised eggplant are must try. Egg plant is skinless. Their stuffed pancakes are great. Pork/beef/lamb. I can’t eat any spicy food so I cannot recommend any. Reasonable price with large portion.

Fantastic local restaurant serving delicious Chinese food! We've been coming here for years, and the quality and portions are top-notch.
We recommend going with a group in order to try more dishes. There are large selections of noodle, dumpling, meat, and veggie dishes, and you'll definitely find something to enjoy.
Last night, we ordered Westlake Beef Soup, Shanghai noodles, pork potstickers, fried tofu over rice, and fish on a sizzling plate. Everything was delicious and highly recommended!

Fake Chinese northern food. Just Cantonese food with a northern name. Never order non-Cantonese food in a Cantonese fast food restaurant in San Francisco. They just want to make money by attempting people to order.

The pot stickers are the bomb. 3 times bigger than your average pot sticker. And the hot and sour soup was very good. The medium bowl will feed at least 2 people.

Who can say no to dumplings? So I chose to place to try. I came here for lunch on a Saturday around 12pm. I got seated right away, but this place can get packed quite fast during lunch. I ordered Shanghai dumplings, chicken pot stickers, Napa Cabbage pork dumplings, and Shanghai fry noodle. Shanghai fry noodle came out first. When I looked at the noodle, the size and width were not the same. This can tell you that they made their own noodle, firm and nice. The noodle was good, but missing some flavor and it was a bit plain. They should have added more sauce in it while frying. Then dumplings and potstickers came out later because they wrapped it and cooked it. So fresh and big! I ordered Napa Cabbage, but they gave us pork with corn. We were like that's okay. Inside that dumpling had a little broth too which made it taste good and juicy when hot. For the potstickers... you can feel its weight which mean they stuffed a lot of ingredients in it! One downside for this was they didn't fry them well enough. You can see the color that was light yellow. So the potstickers were not crunchy or crispy. The Shanghai dumpling. It's quite different to make. The skin needs to be thin and strong enough to hold the broth as we pick them up. The broth needs to be tasty, too. The skin was decent in thickness. I have had thinner ones. The broth was just okay. The noodle and the broth of shanghai dumplings needed more flavors. Thats my opinion. The quality of food was about 3.5 out of 5. I definitely would come back for sticky rice or other stuff for dinner.

CAVEAT: They are more interested in the to-go orders than the people sitting in the restaurant.PRO:- Steamed dumplings are big and delicious- Good fishCON:- You will wait forever if they have to-go orders- We were the only ones in the restaurant and it took more than 30 minutes to get our food- Service was terrible for a Chinese restaurant. We kept having to wave them over for tea- Took 5-10 minutes for every dish to comeSUMMARY:I'm scratching my head about this restaurant. Our friends raved about it and recommended it to us.But food was just ok, service was non existent and it just took way to long. When you eat Chinese food, you want it dishes to either come together or back to back. That's the point of "Chinese family style"

I’ll give it five stars. It’s quite delicious. I don’t know if it’s authentic or not... The dumplings are a little bit off, but the service attitude is very good.
