Nothing special and very pricey. If I wanted to pay +30 for a pasta dish, I would definitely have it somewhere else like Penny Roma.
The Ravioli Carbonara was ok, the sauce texture was way off, it was too watery.
The pappardelle with lamb ragù was beyond disappointing!
Service was great and professional!

Very stylish Italian place with delicious food and nice ambiance. The staff is nice and knowledgeable, the menu is nice and short and everything I’ve tried was really good. Gnocchi with duck, Ravioli carbonara and panna cotta each one worth trying. The plates are definitely small for the price but very good. I’d recommend this place for an intimate dinner or a date.

Excellent little Italian restaurant. Servers were very knowledgeable and the meal was excellent. Yet most importantly one of the chefs had a fantastic moustache so you’re in safe hands.

?? Fantastic! Excellent! A classy rather than luxury restaurant. Quiet and very intimate atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic date or for a dinner with friends or something special. Call to book to make sure you have a place.
Fantastic risotto, in all sauces. Delicious appetizers, perfect for waiting for the first (or second) arrival.
I recommend taking the focaccia, crunchy and tasty, but leave a piece to clean the first/second course, the famous "slipper".

Fantastic risotto, in all varieties. Delicious appetizers, perfect while waiting for the first (or second) course.
I recommend getting the focaccia, crispy and flavorful, but save a piece to clean up the plate from the first/second course, the famous 'scarpetta.'

The owner and head chef, Gian Marco, is very talented and creative. The carbonara ravioli is a "must-have." You should definitely come here while they're on their upswing, before they get a Michelin star.

Excellent meals. Outside the norm of what you find in Americanized Italian restaurants. Owner is very involved in each dish and you can tell. The bar for quality is high. 10/10.

Amazing dinner at this cozy neighborhood spot. We ordered the lobster salad and halibut carpaccio for appetizers, passatelli for our primi, followed by the duck breast. Everything was cooked and flavored to perfection, with a modern twist on Italian cooking. They also had an extensive Italian wine list that paired well with the dishes - very reminiscent of being in Italy. We look forward to trying more things on the menu!

Delightful dinner at Ciccino.
The food was amazing. I had the house made focaccia (devine), squid skewer (lightly buttered served with a nice crème condiment) and oyster, truffle ravioli. Oh and I had tiramisu for dessert. All the dishes were 10/10 and the staff were extremely attentive. I could really see the skill and detail with the ravioli dish, to how the ravioli was crafted, the truffle burnt butter sauce, accompanying truffle pearls and the chef came out to shave the truffle on top! Just superb. I was visiting san Fran alone and wanted to go to a nice restaurant that wouldn’t be too loud or had Friday night bar vibes. Ciccino was just that. Nice decor, upscale service and menu. It’s a nice place for solo diners, couples or small groups I think due to the space.

I made a reservation at Ciccino through the OpenTable app for a Friday evening. The process was smooth, and we were promptly seated upon arrival. Our journey began with a delightful selection of antipasti: the focaccia, scallop skewer, and lamb skewer.
Focaccia: The focaccia impressed me with its crispy texture and robust herb flavor. Paired with quality olive oil, it set the tone for the meal.
Scallop Skewer: The scallop skewer featured a crispy breading that encased juicy scallops. The balance of textures was spot-on, reminiscent of the equally tender lamb skewer.
Lamb Skewer: Tender lamb sirloin and juicy!
For our primi courses, we opted for the following:
Pappardelle Lamb Ragout: This dish stole the show. The pappardelle pasta had the perfect al dente texture, and the lamb ragout was bursting with flavor. It’s safe to say this was the best pappardelle I’ve ever tasted.
Ravioli Carbonara (9 pieces): While the ravioli carbonara had potential, it fell slightly short. The saltiness was a tad overpowering, even though I appreciated the creamy filling of egg yolk and pecorino foam.
The unassuming storefront had piqued our curiosity during previous walks by, and finally dining there was a treat. The attentive staff added to the overall positive experience. I’m already looking forward to returning and trying their duck breast!

I am traveling across the western U.S. from Galveston, Texas. After staying on Vashon Island in Washington, went to San Francisco. Prior to my trip, I looked for Italian restaurants in San Francisco that specialize in pasta dishes. We could not have made a better choice. The food, authentic Italian, but very creative by Chef Gian Marco Cosmi is a unique and very special epicurean delight. The place has a very warm and modern vibe and our waiter Nathan also from Italy was a consummate server with the warmest personality. I could not recommend this place more highly, bravo Ciccino!!

I have been to Ciccino twice. The first time was great. The second time (This past Saturday). The food was good, the wait staff was very kind and attentive. But I was put off, when at the end of the meal the chef came to our table to say they needed the table in 5 minutes. We had received the the check about 5 minutes before and we were not late for our reservations. I understand the need to turn the table over, but I think the chef could have been a bit more hospitable with his approach...maybe asked how the meal was before telling us we had to leave in five minutes? I feel like this is common courtesy and the minimum for someone in the hospitality business. Just let the patron know at the top of the meal there is a time constraint. The joy of dining out disipates with this kind of experience.
