Consistent comfort food! My sister and I came here 3 times last week. We almost tried the entire menu, but our go to is Mandu guk(rice cake + dumpling soup) and army stew. Never lets me down. Sometimes I crave it and order it on Doordash. The place is smaller, but cozy.

Came here with my fiancé at 10pm on a Monday night because we woke up hungry and Coco Bang is only 4 mins from us. We ordered the whole chicken (half/half) and were surprised with the amazing service and great food! Very reasonably priced and they have good portion size as well. I don't usually review places, but I do think they deserve the attention.

Super glad they're open! Amazingly surprised, especially compared to typical LA Koran food.

Shout out to that server (Minjoo?) who works the whole damn place! He's a beast! Not only was he super polite but he was taking care of all tables, answering phones and handling the to-go people on a Sunday night in SF where everything has been closing down early. Not too many options for tourists who are looking to find somewhere to hangout late and get some drinks and food. We went here twice on our trip to SF because they're awesome. A couple of yogurt sojus, dakgalbi, sweet corn and kimchi fried rice was our fav setup for two people. It's a quaint place with great drinks and food - no complaints here. Would come back again!

We are in town visiting SF, and with any food options we could have we ended up eating here TWICE! Every dish was legit Korean food. The yogurt soju was made to perfection. Staff guy was a hustler at customer service. Everything was done very well! I'd recommend this place to anyone and wish we had one back home.

Great food with just enough spice. Chicken crisp with green onion that were great. Super worthwhile for the price too.

Awesome service always!!!! The food is consistently good. If you are in Union Square, this place is a must try! They have pan fried gizzard - 100% should try if you like gizzards. Of course the 1/2 & 1/2 chicken is the best seller! They are open late night when everything else is closed. I will give this more than 5 stars if I can!

One time I ate the Korean fried chicken here and had food poisoning afterwards. It was so good that I still ate the leftovers. That pretty much sums it up.

When you are in the mood for Korean comfort food, Cocobang should be towards the top of the list. I've been coming here for 6+ years now and what keeps me coming back are three items: Korean fried chicken with green onion (best flavor IMO), the five spicy chicken rice cakes add cheese, and the army soup. The Korean fried chicken is perfectly crisp and the side accompaniments match up so well. You can get a half or full order of fried chicken. Easily one of the best tasting KFCs you'll find in SF. The five spicy chicken rice cakes doesn't normally come with cheese, but it's a MUST add-on. I love spicy food, and it's enough spice for me. If you are sensitive to spice it might be a tad much. Either way, I love everything about it. It's one of those dishes you have to eat there. I ordered it to-go a couple weeks back, and I had to come back for the indoor dining experience. The army soup is perfect if you have a group of 4 to share. It's filled with delicious ramen noodles, spam, plus more and is perfect to warm you up on a cold SF night. The best part is that they are open late! The best and most flavorful midnight snack in the Union Square area. They have fruit soju that's a can't miss and is a spot I'll go with friends after the bar to keep the night going. It's a small restaurant, so a party of up to 4 is your best chance of limiting wait times. They have Yelp waitlist, and you'll get a text once your table is close to being ready.

Wow, we were told to come here by a family member who’s a chef and used to frequent CocoBang when he lived in SF. We LOVED it. Everything we got—bulgogi hotpot, Army soup, spicy chicken bulgogi, corn cheese—it was all delicious. We’d definitely come back!

My family and I had driven into SF late around midnight and we were super tired and hungry. After driving around the city for almost 40 minutes looking for food (as most places were closed) we finally found Cocobang! We were greeted with the friendliest service and the food really lifted our spirits up after driving all day. We got the half and half fried chicken with half original flavor and soy garlic. To my surprise, it was actually quite good for a late-night spot. I liked the crispness of the chicken and I also thought the soy garlic sauce was nice and not too sweet like other places. We also got the spicy tofu soup with seafood and the kimchi fried rice. Both of these dishes were just great, especially after being tired all day and coming in late at night. If you're ever in need of a late night spot in SF, definitely check out Cocobang!
