Updated review - This place have taken a dive over the last few months. Always out of basics like bread choices and no side salad with the sandwiches anymore. So now you get a small sandwich for over $10. Rip off.

Perfect little neighborhood coffee spot when you want to duck away from the the craziness of Upper Haight. I've been coming here for years, and one of my go-to spots for sidewalk seating. Through the years, the baristas have always been friendly with positive vibes.

I was liking Cole Valley Cafe until I asked how much are their coffee refills. THEY DON'T DO REFILLS! YOU HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER CUP OF COFFEE AT FULL PRICE! I understand if it was a fancy coffee, this is there drip. I am a coffee lover in th AM with my breakfast. Was very disappointed. I understand if they charged .85 for a refill, full price is rediculous if you are eating there. Likely not coming back.
