Hands down..best clam chowder in the bay area. Great vibes, and service. Eddie and his team are great. Will be back. Do yourself a favor and stay in the NorthBeach area and have dinner at Cole Valley Tavern ? ?

Atmosphere and vibe is amazing here but the food has really decreased in quality! Don’t know what happened but the scampi fries went from a big tray of crispy perfect fries to a tiny bowl of soggy squishy fries. Hopefully they’ll change back to their previous quality.

Short review: Excellent service, unique menu, fresh ingredients, chill dining space and good sized bar. Scampi fries are the MVP.Long review:My partner and I were looking for a date night spot, but a more chill and laid back place in the city versus the usual steakhouse, etc. We found Cole Valley Tavern via Yelp and decided to give it a shot. It's in a very nice part of hilly SF and is right on the corner of the street - parking is scarce so keep that in mind.We ordered a variety of things: scampi fries, wings, onion rings, smashburger, salmon caesar, and more. Everything was and I cannot understate how damn good the scampi fries are. It's a thicker cut potato but the crunch/flavor is next level. The head chef that night (Alex) came out since he heard we were trying the spot out for date night. He gave us the french toast style strawberry shortcake which was very legit. We enjoyed everything and absolutely will come back!

This place is super cute and is located in Cole Valley which is one of my favorite neighborhoods in San Francisco. I came for brunch with my boyfriend and family. They have a lot of options here. The drinks are cute and they have a pretty extensive brunch cocktail menu which I love!I got the lox toast which was good for a bit but then was just too salty and overpowering towards the end. I would still probably go back and try something else.

The food is great, I would recommend the toast avo that was excellent. While the smash burger is soggy it is flavorful so I would still order it again. We had an issue with the bill and Jim went above and beyond to make it right. Really appreciated! We will go there again, it is a great Sunday brunch spot for a family!

Love this spot! Great food, drinks & vibe - really nice addition to the neighborhood. Friendly suggestion to update the hours on Google - they are indeed closed on Tuesdays. Will be back on not a Tuesday soon ;)

I don't understand how this place isn't a 4.7-5.0... the service is A+, the bartenders remember you, the hosts are honest about the wait times and the servers deftly navigate a very cozy footprint.the somewhat rotating menu is always exceptional. the salads are exceptional. the burgers and variations are always really filling, shellfish are always fresh and flavorful, and the drinks (even the NA ones) are top notch. As it starts getting colder next month, the Dancing Bear is not to be missed.

Came here randomly and i really enjoyed this bar! i came here after eating dinner with my friend and i ended up getting the lemonade because i was driving. the other word was a bit too strong for me, but i typically don't like martini type drinks. my friend really enjoyed it though! staff is super nice and loved the ambiance of this bar.
