I haven't been in here since probably 2012. When I lived in San Francisco at the time I came here several times. Drinks were good, I specifically remember the Mojito being very good, lots of mint, to the point where it clogged your straw so you have to pick mint leaves out of the drink as weird as it might seem.Food was pretty good, I remember having appetizers and I don't remember ever tasting something bad. I would recommend the place, hopefully it hasn't changed much since those days. But I can vouch that when I used to go years ago it was tasty and the drinks were good.

LOVED the food! This is a fantastic restaurant for Mexican food. Higher priced but well worth it! Try the Carnitas. Can’t go wrong there.

To be fair - the food was pretty good but also pretty pricey for what you get. They sat is in a very tight table by the door with a huge party next to us so the atmosphere was not pleasant - the servers kept bumping our table to get through the small space (no fault of theirs) but I would have happily waited to get a decent spot then some random wobbly table. Also the rose tasted cheap for $16 a glass...Maybe I'll try again at a later date but I wasn't floored to be honest.

I came to Colibri for brunch on Saturday at 12pm. I'd heard good things about the food and was really looking forward to the tortillas and bottomless mimosas for a friend's birthday. We were seated by a nice lady and ordered our bottomless mimosas at around 12:15 and told our server we'd need a few more minutes to decide on our entrees. He was visibly annoyed by us needing more time and was rude from the beginning. The next time he came around, he threatened that we could not be served more mimosas until we ordered our entrees (which we were about to do). We ordered huevos rancheros, huevos poblanos, carne asada, and chilaquiles. The food was really tasty! The portions are not as big as some other brunch-centric places, but the tortillas tasted homeade and the mole/salsas were very flavorful. However, I would DEFINITELY not come here for bottomless mimosas again. The service with refills is incredibly slow. Also, our server told us at 1:30 that this would be our last round of mimosas, even though the menu clearly says 2 hour limit/mimosas end at 2pm. He argued with us that we had been there over 2 hours, but our reservation was clearly at 12pm (which we had him go check in their reservation records). He did verify that we'd only been there for 1.5 hours so continued to serve, but never apologized for his rudeness or mistake. Normally I would reflect this unprofessionalism/rudeness in the tip, but since we were a group of 6 it was already included. Not sure if this server was just having a bad day, but it looks very bad on the restaurant to treat paying guests poorly. Will not be coming back and will not be recommending to anyone for this reason. Only giving two stars because the food was good, but it is not worth the lack of manners from the server.

My boyfriend and I were staying at the Westin St. Francis and stumbled upon this restaurant. I absolutely loved the food here! Really authentic coming from someone who visits their home town in Mexico often. We ordered: -Churros con cajeta at must! -The chicken wings we amazing and served with home made tortillas -Guacamole large enough for 4 ppl! -Carnitas Every single item we got was amazing! I will definitely return

This place is right across the street from Curran theatre. There was a lot of crowd going here during the break of the Harry Potter show. So it was a good thing that we'd made reservation. They have the option to make Yelp reservation and you can edit the timings if you want through the app. Since we'd made the reservation, we were seated immediately. There was a huge line on the outside formed by patrons of the HP show. The menu does not have a lot of options but don't let that fool you. We started off with a round of drinks Michelada and Sangria. Although Michelada was not on the menu, they still served it. They have a whole bunch of tequila and Mezcal cocktails in their menu. The sangria was not super boozy, light and refreshing. Michelada was a little on the milder side. I would have loved a little more hot sauce in it. We were served a bowl of tortilla chips, an assortment of mild(mango salsa), medium and hot sauces. For appetizer, we ordered Yucateco chicken wings ($14) : They're smaller in size than the regular wings but more in number so that makes up for a good shareable appetizer. They're quite spicy and have that habanero kick to them. Platanos con crema ($9): Probably the best I've had. The platanos were over rip and fried to the point that they were caramelized not just from the outside. They were not overly greasy as some of the other ones that I've had. The cream was fresh and made it a refreshing appetizer. For the main course we got Pato en Mole Verde Pipian ($28) : Duck with green mole made with pumpkin seeds. The duck had a nice sear on the outside and was pink on the inside. The pumpkin mole was not as decadent as the regular mole. The dish also had something that tasted like a rice patty or hash brown and a bed of baby arugula. Side of Arroz a la mexicana($7) Good accompaniment with the mole. They also served house made tortilla which were delicious. Light and umami, I could eat 10 of them! We were sitting at a 2 top table near the window. It was a little tight but ok. They do have more seating, big tables and booth towards the inside. So it's good for groups too. The food is on the expensive side but worth the try.

1 star for the general ambiance and 1star for the guacamole. Nothing else is worth talking about. It's a fancy place with no food substance.

Kitchen lost my order so food was served long after ordering (only after I flagged the waitress down) and after eight other diners, who had arrived after me, had gotten their food.

We had a very unique Brunch. Good mole. Nice decor and service. Not your run of the mill Mexican restaurant. A bit pricey.

Right next to our Hotel, attached actually. WE came in for happy hour and were pleased. Great margaritas, guacamole and chips. Tacos were good. More traditional food and a good spot to try. Parking sucks in this part of town but if you can get a spot, give them a try.

Great Margaritas, Guacamole and Mole Polano! Perfect place to go before going to the theater.

Restaurant has great ambience and service. Food was very yummy especially the chips and guacamole, however for the mains the quantity was a little less. We were quite hungry also so maybe that’s why we felt it. Overall happy with everything though.

My hubby made reservations for us to get brunch here before the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child show started, which was just right across the street from here at Curran theatre. We found parking almost right jn front of the restaurant and it was free parking because it was Sunday. Woohoo!! We arrived about 15 minutes early and was able to get seated. I noticed that every table had a single red rose in a vase, which was a nice little touch especially since it was the Valentines Day weekend. I ordered the Dasayuno Mexicano and my hubs ordered the Huevos Benedictinos and the bottomless mimosa. They also give you 3 types of complimentary salsa and fresh corn tortillas (careful, they're steaming hot)! All 3 salsas were really good! My favorite was the green one (similar to a chile verde salsa). You can either dip the tortillas in the salsa or make little tacos with your entree. When our food arrived, both of the entrees looks super tasty!! I loved that there was so much variety in my dish. The beef was tender and every bite was very flavorful. My husband's eggs benedicts were good too but I enjoyed my entree more. They did a really great job at making his eggs runny and gooey. The portions here are the perfect size as we were both so stuffed after our meal. We also probably had about 8 rounds of mimosas (they do get busy so make sure you flag them down as soon as your glass is empty) so the bottomless mimosa was definitely worth it for us! Im so happy we tried this place and I definitely want to come back to try their dinner menu.

I have been to this place a couple of times and the experience has been wonderful. They serve delicious cocktails especially their margaritas. I have tried the blackberry, strawberry and tamarind and all were really good. The freshly made gaucomole is also worth a try. I usually go for the pozole verde soup for entrees. it is one of the best I have tried.

We had asked for a quiet table, and we got one, though there were noisy areas around. The tequila was remarkable. The beers Mexican. The food was excellent - refined cuisine true to its roots. We had a marvelous time.
