Came for happy hour. The pianist singer gave some elegant vibes to accompany meeting up with some old friends. Quick service and tasty drinks for the happy menu cocktails. Would come back.

Came here for a cocktail and maybe a bite but it turned into several bites and several cocktails because we liked the vibe so much. There was a piano player while we were there and the service was fast and charming. We loved the pork bahn mi sliders and the crab rangoons.

If I could give this place 10 stars for atmosphere and service, I would add 10 to it.
Loved the history, the decor, the vibe, the lighting, the servers, the menu.
It felt like a step back in time without the cheesiness that normally accompanies such places.

It’s retro , classy, design feels like you have walked into the 1940s; I wish I was wearing a suit with fedora, with Lauren Bacall at my side; a long wooden rotating fan that looks like an oar is designed to mesmerize patrons to keep ordering drinks and food; Love the fried Brussels sprouts. The jazz band is curiously situated a level above bar as if they are a voice of God? I bet the band is called Zeus. And they use the trombone for a clarion call to the world !

We met our in-laws at Comstock Saloon for an early dinner / happy hour. They were in town for the Grateful Dead concert at Oracle Park. We had a group of 11 so they found a couple of tables in the back just below the piano player upstairs. Lots of drinks going around and every one complimented the tasty cocktails. I had a Reality Check Pilsner beer.
The food menu was eclectic and we had the following items:
Comstock Burger & Fries 3/5 husk ok $21
Skirt steak with chimichurri 4/5
Oysters 4/5 $3.50 each
Salmon and potato puffs 3/5
Donuts with ice cream 5/5 had to order a couple more best item
The Comstock Saloon is located near the corner of Columbus and Kearney. It's filled with wooden booths. Service was ok. The nearest parking lot is Portsmouth garage.

Parking: Nice place to go enjoy a bite to eat! Great historic saloon/bar that has two sides! Delicious food options & appetizers on their menu. Wonderful, friendly, attentive staff that work there! Friday free lunch, with a purchase of 2 drinks, was delicious! Did order the delicious smoked salmon appetizer and a burger with fries from the regular menu. I look forward to going back again! All so good! 😊👍👍

Went just for drinks. Would definitely recommend a spot at the bar and a chat at the bar. You have the drinks on the menu and then you have the real pieces of art the bartenders make when you ask them. Loved the pink gin, south side and whatever the name of the other drinks were they made for me. Extra plus: when I visited a live band played nice music.

First time at Comstock but definitely must return to try the food. Menu sounds awesome but unfortunately kitchen was closed at the time we arrived.
The vibe of Comstock is one of those places that has your brain stepping out of the real world into theirs. Places like this are when sf gets to show you why it’s a cool city.
For the first time I got to try a “PIMMS” and it was pretty good. Comstock has their own premade version and it’s pretty good.
Parking: It’s in north beach should explain a lot, there are garages and lots. Street parking is always possible but usually limited
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible and welcomed
