CCOL CRAVINGS IS CLOSED!!.. Now called something else. New owner changed the name, replaced the excellent staff and no more Boars Head Bread! Bread is cheap tastes like cardboard and he raised the prices. Shame because Cool Cravings was a go-to spot.

Came in for a quick bite ordered the OG breakfast sandwich. Sandwich was hot and the eggs were scrambled like stated on the menu. You know those breakfast spots that say scrambled eggs and its fried, yuck!. Not here, didn't get a chance to take a picture I was starving. The young lady that took my order was nice and patient she even gave me a cup of water. Thanks!

So I usually don't care to do reviews. If I don't like something I just won't go to that place and move on and so forth. So last week I decided I wanted a smoothie and a bagel for breakfast. I ordered on the door dash app and it stated the wait time was about 10 minutes. I waited about 15 minutes and then headed down to pick up my order. When I got to the register I informed one of the male workers that I was picking up my door dash order. I didn't even get to finish my sentence when he replied " we don't have that no more ". I had originally thought he meant that they didn't have what I had originally ordered which was fine and proceeded to ask what they had instead so I could modify my order. He then replied again and stated that they no longer do door dash orders and the menu is no longer the same. He said this in an extremely rude manner. I then asked what I could do as I had already paid on the app. He shrugged his shoulders and didn't say a word. There was also a female worker who was on the phone and didn't help. I told them kindly if they could cancel my order and they said I could do it myself on the app. The worker never offered to make me something else or to pick a new item off the menu. It's so sad that they don't use door dash but the app continues to have there business on there and just takes peoples money. I had to contact door dash to refund my money which took forever. DO NOT order from here on door dash or in general.

I was in town working at UCSF for a few days and found myself at Cool Cravings for lunch two days in a row. The first day I ordered the Addiction: prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomato, olive oil. Choice of bread was sliced, toasted sourdough. The sandwich was chock full of ingredients. The fresh mozzarella was thick and the flavor of basil was delicate and well dispersed through each bite. It hit the spot. So much so that the next day.... I ordered the So Rite: bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado w/ turkey. This sandwich was so filling I could only eat half, saving the second half for an after work snack. The avocado was fresh, the tomatoes were plentiful and the lettuce was mixed greens, not iceberg. Three full slices of bacon were included. This sandwich was really great. When I arrived the first day there was someone greeting customers, taking orders and working the register. On the second day I arrived during her break. That left just two folks in the place, so I had to wait while one prepared coffee for another customer and the other did prep work. The second guy must not have been trained for working the cash register. Once the guy making the coffee drinks returned, he took my ordered, I paid and he made the sandwich. While he was making the sandwich, the cashier / customer facing person returned from lunch. Had she been there when I walked in I would have ordered a Feel Better juice: carrots, beets, ginger. Not doing so because of the long wait to place my order is my own issue. The gentleman did ask if I wanted anything to drink. I was tired of waiting and decided to forgo the juice. Next time I'l feel better about ordering a Feel Better.

This particular small corner cafe and deli on Divisadero serves all locals, medical staff of Kaiser and UCSF and passerby alike providing the usual fare of burritos, breakfast cravings, caffeinated beverages, gourmet salads and sandwiches, house-made soups, pizzas, and smoothies and juices. All staff takes precautionary measures of hand gloves and masking. The Burn (Pastrami). Prices have risen since the pandemic rose. A humble toasted traditional pastrami sandwich sans avocado on dutch crunch filled to the brim. A well-made pastrami filler has a balance of fat and lean, spicy sweet and smoky piled high but not bulgy or salty and is layered so the meat bites away cleanly. Ravenously hungry, I ate my entire cylindrical companion in one sitting only to realize too late that the pastrami slivers were too salty for my delicate belly to withstand. Wilted mixed salad greens is not an ideal choice selection for a hefty juicy sandwich. It left a chewy soggy middle as opposed to a cool crisp delicious bread. I suppose they ran out of romaine lettuce as advertised on their menu board. Perhaps, I would have enjoyed it better if I had saved the other half for another day. Moderation is key. Attentive staff. Masks required. Social distance precautions taken. Speedy service.

I’m not one to post reviews, but I felt that this needed to be shared. I just started eating my cobb salad when I noticed that the lettuce didn’t seem thoroughly washed. I began poking around when I noticed a bug in my salad and not one, but 3 and probably more. I was too upset to investigate any further and decided to return it. I’m only giving 2 stars because I’ve been here before and had a good experience. I’m not sure what’s happened recently, but after this encounter I definitely won’t be returning ):

I've been going to this spot for years! BEST Egg cheese bacon crossiant and fresh squeezed juice. The detox veggie juice is amazing and made all fresh right there! Raymond, the owner and his staff always provide the best customer service and the best food. I've also tried the salads and they are soooo good. The spinach salad is BOMB with vinaigrette dressing. MUST GO for breakfast, lunch or a snack mid day!

Scam on “Deal”Half sandwich and half salad is 9$ then becomes 15$. certain items cost more then others due to ingredients which is understandable, but when you upcharge at checkout because of certain items you picked that are part of the deal, you are lying on your own deal. Should be noted on the menu, owner knows about it and still does nothing to change it
