I loved the variety of flavours at this restaurant. It’s a great place for people who don’t typically eat Indian food, but want to try it. Highlights were the dosa and bone marrow. Only thing is some dishes were a bit dry/tough (the large beef dish and the fried chicken)

Superlative food and cocktails. Decor and ambience to match .
However, the service was a bit hurried. Plates were taken away rather abruptly and bill arrived along with dessert. In a place with such high quality food, these small details matter.

We lost our table for couple of minutes late even though we called and informed. The guy at reception is rude and careless . Not a good experience.

Great restaurant , amazing experience. Aura was similar to the group’s other restaurant, Ettan. The food, drinks, service and staff, were all flawless. We’ve been here for lunch & dinner a couple of times and everytime it’s worth it. Will be dining again soon..

Wow.. Copra was phenomenal! The ambiance, the food, the service, the knowledge of each server and bartender on every ingredient they offer on the entire menu was just top notch. I am super happy we called and spoke to Akhil who took care of us and got us a reservation over the phone. Flew in from the east coast and happened to have a night in San Fran and he was able to get me a reservation. I'll most certainly be coming back again

Classy and authentic Indian spot. The dosa was outstanding, took me back to Chennai. Probably the best Ive had in the US. Also tried the Aval Kosambri, fava bean paruppu urundai and filter coffee

This restaurant has excellent food and great decor. As an Indian American, I love when restaurants strike a great balance between the roots and experimenting with new techniques and flavors. Loved the experience and executions!

An absolutely nondiscript exterior.

Stepping into Copra is a feast for the senses. From the moment I stepped inside, I was taken away by the sophisticated design and decor. It truly made me feel as if I was in a movie scene set in another continent.

Our party of eight enjoyed an amazing meal of delightfully designed dishes. I'm not one that is familiar with Indian cuisine but I will say that it's a must visit restaurant. It's restaurants like this that make San Francisco extra special.

Copra was really special, the decor is lovely and the food is inventive and flavorful. Would recommend going as group as most dishes can be shared

Beautiful restaurant and fantastic service. Food was all good but it didn't knock my socks off.

Rasam Poori was only ok and fried chicken wasn't anything special. Scallops were cooked perfectly and were the best thing. Lamb curry was great but pretty similar to any other good indian restaurant.

The dosa was super boring and is the most over hyped thing. Our waiter couldn't stop talking about it. It just was not very good and lacked flavor. The sauces that came with it were not very great. Wish i skipped the dosa and got something with more flavor. It didn't taste bad but i didn't like any aspect of it.

Overall I liked it for a special occasion. I loved the pot they brought the curry out in and other nice touches. I would go back and try other things

The atmosphere was beautifully designed, with a lot of care clearly put into the space—it felt modern and inviting. The menu stood out for its unique selection, and the dishes we tried were well crafted with great flavor and texture. Presentation was also on point, making the overall dining experience feel thoughtful and elevated.

The only downside was the service, which was noticeably slow...but it seemed like our server was covering a lot of tables, so it felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of attentiveness. Still, definitely worth a visit for the food and ambiance.

Copra is the first time I’ve been in a fancy South Indian restaurant. Given the general domination of the commonly found north Indian style of food, it is good to see a restaurant of this calibre for south Indian food in San Francisco (I’m aware of South Bay’s own ecosystem haha)

I got the tender jacks first, amazingly spiced. An amazing appetiser I highly recommend. The sauce was so good I kept it around for the next course.

For the main, I got the Kothu Parottha. Again beautifully seasoned. It kept me eating, I thought it would be a lot but the next second the plate was cleared.

I finally got the watalappam for dessert, this I cannot describe haha something to be experienced.

The service throughout was also fantastic. Thank you Sarah for the recommendation on the watalappam.

And in terms of vegetarian dishes, well the selection is very good and I’m pretty sure you won’t be sitting there eating an overpriced salad.

I will be back 😃
