We visited this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. Even after informing both the host and our server, there was no acknowledgment or effort to make the occasion feel special. For a restaurant at this price point, I expected a more thoughtful and attentive experience. Additionally, when we asked a staff member to take a photo, the request was flatly refused. We then asked another waitress, who remained seated and showed little interest or care while taking the picture. Overall, the service felt inattentive and disappointing.
We were not allowed to order appetizers without our full dinner order so the meal could be coursed out as dictated by the chef, per our server. He was gruff and unpleasant despite our sharing we were hungry and needed to get started. After we placed our full order everything was rushed out and then there was a huge gap before anyone came to check on us for dessert or anything to drink.
Attentive staff. Accommodated guests in the party with dietary and preferences (no spicy) options. Overall very nice experience. The shaved coconut dessert was the best!
Order family style. For light eaters, two "Little" plates and one, maybe two "Large" plates would be enough. Lamb Shoulder Chettinad was outstanding.
Our reservation was at 7.30 and we were on time The host told to wait and then we saw 3 more groups get seated When I went up and asked about our table she was quite snotty and said in an inpatient voice they were paying We then finally got seated and our waitress came over at 8pm to take an order for drinks I then said we know what we want to eat as our reservation was 7.30 and we are now only seeing someone
The food at Copra is not your usual Indian restaurant food. The flavors are layered and complex, and everything was delicious. The service was very attentive and helpful. The main room is a bit loud, but not overwhelming. Overall a great experience.
Amazing quality and extremely flavorful and well balanced! Cocktails are particular ! We are excited and looking forward to visit again! It feels like an excursion/getaway staycation vibe for sure!
Great unique tastes, attentive service, beautiful room... but pieces of bone in chicken and beef dish could have been more tender.
The food was delicious though not the typical southern Indian fare as found elsewhere. Our party was disappointed that naan was not on the menu. It's not southern Indian apparently. While we were still savoring the very warm-for-a-cold-December-evening mugs of yummy soup they served us the main course that sat there while we were finishing the soup course.
Overall, this was a pretty disappointing experience. Choose this restaurant because we wanted to celebrate somewhere special. Service ended up being extremely disappointing and most dishes fell flat. Chutney board and Lamb Curry were the highlights. Beef dish was a huge disappointment. Beef was clearly just cubes of low quality tough chuck roast. There was almost no sauce along with it. With got the pumpkin dish. Strange it was called pumpkin anything considering it only had four small cubes of pumpkin in it. Fried chicken was mushy yet also seemed overcooked. We only received some of the appetizers we ordered, server never came back once to check in on us. Never offered refills on drinks, never came to see if we needed anything else. She just sat back and let everyone else bring all the food, bus the table etc.. The manager ended up being the one who dropped the check which was strange because there was an entire group of employees including our server standing and hanging out behind our table. Even the manager seemed like he didn't want to be there. Didn't ask us how everything was. Just brought the check without even asking if we were interested in dessert or after dinner drinks. Disappointing experience for a celebration...

Copra never disappoints!! Every dish is full of a vast array of flavors and textures that look and taste amazing.
From the moment you walk through the door you know you're in for something wonderful. The chorus of voices and clinking cutlery is a wall of pure excitement. The food is exceptional. The combination of the familiar and novel flavors elevates your tastebuds to a higher plane. Dang it's good.
Thank you Copra for an incredible meal. Everything we ordered was delicious, fresh, flavorful, and ready quickly. It was a very special meal for me and my family. All of the staff were so friendly and attentive, especially our server Bijan. Can't wait to come back!
The food was other wolrdly, new takes on familiar dishes. the Starters were amazing and the the Biryani was unlike any other, based around samba jeera rice. The food all had a little kick, for the blandest of diners I would caution them.
