CQ Noodles is the kind of quaint neighborhood restaurant that quietly delivers some of the most unforgettable Sichuan flavors around. I’ve been twice now, and both visits were exceptional.

The first time, I ordered an appetizer and the Dan Dan noodles, which came with fresh hand-cut noodles—possibly by request, or maybe that was the standard at the time. Either way, they were phenomenal: chewy, springy, and drenched in a sauce that was savory, spicy, and deeply satisfying.

Yesterday, I returned with my son, who’s a discerning foodie with a palate that doesn’t tolerate mediocrity. We ordered the Dan Dan noodles again—this time with regular noodles—and they were still absolutely delicious. The flavors were so bold and layered, it didn’t matter what noodle type showed up. We also tried the cucumber salad, and it was a standout: crisp, high-quality cucumbers dressed in a light, tangy, slightly spicy marinade that felt like both a palate cleanser and a flavor bomb.

One of our favorite parts? The homemade chili sauces left at every table. They’re not just condiments—they’re ceremonial. Smoky, spicy, and complex, they elevate every dish and feel like a love letter to Sichuan heat.

The service is consistently warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. CQ Noodles feels like a local secret—unpretentious, authentic, and full of heart. If you’re looking for a place that honors flavor over flash and delivers Sichuan comfort with every bite, CQ Noodles is it. I can’t recommend it enough.

On a long Halloween night, we were searching for Asian food still open past 9 PM when we found CQ Noodle nearby.

We were immediately greeted by (I believe) the owner, who gave us a very warm welcome and promptly seated our group of seven.

We ordered a variety of dishes: their special beef rib noodles, fried rice, tomato beef noodles, shredded chicken, soup dumplings, and pan-fried dumplings. Everything was really good! They specialize in spicy food, but since we had kids with us, we opted for non-spicy options.

I imagine the food would have been even more delicious if we'd been able to order it spicy. Regardless, their dishes have a wonderfully well-balanced taste.

I would absolutely recommend CQ Noodle if you're in the area!

The food in this restaurant is terrible and unhygienic. The service provided by the woman in the restaurant is also very bad. Anyone who eats here will not be unlucky and will not go there again.

Dinner tasted amazing, fresh noodles, great spice level.
The fried buns were an absolute delight and the spicy cucumbers were a nice touch. Very friendly and not overbearing service. Highly recommend the place.

I got the ChongQing roast pork intestines with hand pulled noodles in broth and it was very good. The broth was flavorful, pork was juicy and the hand pulled noodles were excellent. Will go here again.

Unfortunately not the same CQ noodle that I remember coming to last year, which was really quite good (ex: chongqing style noodles with peas)

Menu has changed quite a bit and it’s much blander. We also had even some stir fried beef noodles that actually tasted funky/off, which we didn’t finish.

Noodles themselves are okay and taste homemade, but the soups/sauces don’t seem to be very good anymore.

Got the beef rib noodle house special

Flavor changed under new management

More bland than I remember

I got medium spicy and there was a lot of red oil, but it wasn’t spicy in a fragrant way

They also used to serve suan mei tang by default but that’s gone now

Cucumber salad was good

This beef ramen was amazing! The broth was rich and full of flavor. The beef was soft and tasty, and the noodles were cooked just right. I loved the egg and fresh toppings too. It was warm, filling, and super delicious. I would definitely eat this again!
