I was working on the visitation valley area a couple days ago and was thinking what am I going to have for lunch? I looked on my phone and there weren't many choices but came across creative Ideas Cafe. It had really good reviews and a pretty decent size menu. I've never had Colombian food before so I didn't know what to expect. I did a little research online and Instagram and watched a couple videos of food influencers reviewing the place. I decided I would give it a try. I am really happy that I did. I ended up getting the Bandeja Paisa which was really tasty. There was a mix of different dishes in the plate that I've never had before. Everything was flavorful from the Colombian chorizo to the Colombian red beans or the chicharronas or my favorite the cheese arepa with some of their green salsa. OMG that green salsa is the shit hella good. I also wanted to try the Ajiaco which is their corn and potatoe and chicken and soup. The soup had a really nice taste to it very comforting. I also did an order of their chicken and beef empanadas those were out of the park great flavor. The crunch itself was so crispy that also paired well with the green salsa I washed it down with a squirt grapefruit soda. Couldn't have paired better. I definitely want to go back and try some new dishes that I have not tried yet. Their menu is a pretty good size and everything is made to order. If you have a chance to stop by and visit this place, do not think twice you will like it. Keep up the great work!

The nacho fries are to die for! And I can honestly say that wholeheartedly. This place is to die for The food is exceptional the atmosphere is amazing The workers are super sweet very kind. And the fact that it's a block and a half away from my home makes it even better. If you like carne asada fries I highly recommend them I just got them again today December 3rd and man let me tell you I ate some got full put them away came back a couple hours later and my French fries were still crispy and crunchy. If that doesn't say this place knows how to make food I don't know what does 10 out of 10 would highly recommend for all your wonderful Colombian food!

Really disappointed in this small local place. The food was alright, but they had a huge catering order and didn't warn us ahead of time of the delay. It ended up taking 40 for a breakfast burrito and a meat and beans plate.

The pricing was also not justified. Breakfast was nearly 60 dollars for 2 mains and one arepa. :(

Don't go here unless you like to wait a while and like overpaying for food.

One of the best chicken quesadillas I've ever had. Stuffed with plenty of meat, cheese, and veggies. Very clean and orderly inside as well. I love that you can see into the kitchen.

We had such a great experience at this Colombian restaurant! If you are looking for authentic Latin flavors and a true taste of Colombia, this is the place to come. The atmosphere is cozy, family-friendly, and makes you feel right at home. We tried the tamal and a traditional Colombian breakfast, and both dishes were full of flavor, fresh, and absolutely delicious.

What really stood out was the service — everyone was super kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made the whole visit even better. We are staying in downtown and decided to come here, and honestly, it was more than worth the trip. If you’re visiting the area or even if you live nearby, don’t miss the chance to stop by. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit!

I’m sure they have good food but they used terrible quality steak for my quesadilla, there was so much fat and you can taste the quality… it’s like they got the cheapest steak they could find… anyway I tried my moms chicken quesadilla and it was good.

Food is absolute tops. The cafe de olla is amongst the best I’ve ever had. And the breakfast burrito with chorizo is just amazing. But also huge props to the team- top notch customer service and friendly family style vibes. A real treat.
