Insane Colombian Food. Some of the best I’ve had in CA. Order the Passionfruit Agua Fresca and the Chorizo + egg Arepa!! And if you have room for more, order the plantains. Delicious. I’ll be back here next time I’m in SF.

Really great hole in the wall type of restaurant, yet its mural is beautiful and makes the restaurant “pop.” The food and drinks here are delicious. This place has a lot of options and the servers are helpful if you have any questions/need suggestions.

Really high quality bandeja paisa and speedy service. At $22 it’s not an everyday lunch but you can’t find another one like this around here. I will be back to try more of their stuff.

I love Colombia empanada the creating idea cafe has the best soft handmade empanadas and its flavor and texture is unique. Their lemonade is supreme and their chicharrón is delicious.

I was visiting some friends in the area when I suddenly got terribly hungry. Thankfully, Creative Ideas Cafe was there! Everything I tried, from the empanada to the dessert, was terrific. The guy at the counter even let me take a photo of him. Thank you, cute place and I will be back!

The cheese arepa was kind of plain. The empanadas were better, but not outstanding.

Found this spot randomly while at my art residency at Recology and wow, this place is sooo good! I’ve been finding every excuse to keep coming back and bringing a friend or two when I can. I’m slowly but surely working through the menu and enjoying this meal journey, especially since I don’t see too many Colombian spots out here.

Empanadas are great. Feel like all the meat is so flavorful & tender that I’ve had in the salads and the bandeja. Portions are generous for the price point too. Also very pleasantly surprised at all the vegan options, they really go out of their way!

Go support these good folks and hella good food! Definitely my new favorite spot. Felcidades on 2 years yall, cheers to many more!

Vegetarian options: More than enough vegetarian and vegan options! They also have soyrizo, vegan cheese, and vegan sour cream. They don’t skimp on flavor or portions either.

Vegan burrito, vegan quesadilla, grilled achiote tofu, & spinach + mushroom empanada!

If you’re looking for “REAL” Colombian food in the Bay Area; this spot is excellent. This is a small Colombian and Mexican cafe-turned-restaurant which has some of the most authentic and homemade Colombian food I’ve tried in the area. They even have local Colombian beers and desserts.

While it seems small, there are a few tables inside and outside. This establishment is growing in popularity and does cater. They have a variety of arepas, Colombian breads, and weekly Colombian soups which are just amazing. When we went today; they had ajiaco which I haven’t seen in YEARS. They also had bandeja paisa, pandebono, arepa de queso, and so many other treats.

If you’re not a fan of Colombian food - there is also tons of Mexican food here too. However; I HIGHLY recommend coming for the Colombian dishes which are honestly some of the best in the area if you’re a Colombia fan.
