I had a few minutes before I visiting hours at St. Francis Hospital. This was around the corner at Hyde and Bush. The visitors entrance is on Hyde between Pine and Bush while the ER entrance is on Bush between Hyde and Leavenworth. There were a lot of people inside and outside. A line formed shortly after I placed my order. Picked up coffee but their pastries looked good.

Good bagels and sandwich. But the store is too small, they cannot pay attention to every customer.

Check out the coffee shops around the Nob Hotel because they don't offer breakfast.

They could partner with the hotel and channel guests to a good morning experience in Sanfran.

I ordered the pan au chocolat with black coffee. Average.

Actually giving a 3.5 stars. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and tomatoes with cucumbers...toasted just right. I did have a cold brew wasn't the best. It tasted more like burnt coffee. Another time I had an iced latte again a burnt bitter taste. They are adding too much water to the espresso. For food the place is very good but coffees go elsewhere

Okay.. food was fine but when we cashed out my bf hit not tip as he was about to pull out cash (we have worked in the service industry.. cash is the way to go) the cashier said under his breath “oh thanks no tip”
So we gave him no tip … ridiculous

Unpretentious place with friendly service!
This sandwich comes with an aioli sauce that is sensational. Spinach, cheese, turkey... One of the best I ate on the trip and it doesn't cost a kidney, like almost everything in San Francisco.
The latte with almond milk was delicious too!

Crostini & Java is the perfect local cafe. They serve sandwiches, bagels, coffee and some pastries. The inside area is small but there is outside seating.

I highly recommend Mozzarella & Prosciutto sandwich.

Great cappuccino, served at a nice temp (not burning hot) and good flavor. Also at a nice location with a nice view if you're sitting down. I like that they have proper mugs to drink your coffee in if you're drinking it there. I didn't try the food but it looked really good, next time I'll try something.

A nice quaint little coffee and breakfast/sandwich shop in the bustle of the city. It was quite packed when I arrived but the staff were quick and polite in handling everything. I ordered to go but there was quite a lot of space to sit in the little shop.

We tried the English breakfast muffin and the smoked salmon and cream cheese (everything) bagel. The muffin was delicious, lots of filling especially for the price (in this city). The salmon bagel was equally as tasty, cream cheese was amazing and worked really well with the salmon and other toppings.

Would definitely go again and recommend to anyone passing by!

We had breakfast here because it was close to our hotel and to be honest it turned out to be one of the best brunch places I have ever tried. Everything was simply delicious, we had bagels and french breakfast in the end was so good that we ended up going there 3 times. Also the coffee was amazing (said by an italian aahahahha) everyone was super friendly. Definitely recommend it!

???Cozy cafe with great options**

Crostini & Java is located in the lively Financial District, a great spot for a coffee break or quick bite. The food is reasonably priced for the area, with fresh crostinis and tasty coffee. I especially loved that they offer matcha with no sugar and oat milk as an option – perfect for those who prefer dairy alternatives.

It’s easy to get here with plenty of bus and BART options nearby. The cafe itself has a cozy and casual environment, with indoor seating that’s perfect for grabbing lunch or working on the go. During warm days with chairs out side

Service was friendly and quick, which is a big plus if you’re on a tight schedule. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Most have avacado toast

A match + avacado toast add tip $13.5
